From personal experience with this company we highly suggest taking a pause and thinking about who you are hiring. The owner of Bradford Homes, Brad Paul Robinson, has put our family in a dangerous and damaged position. So much so we are having to take time from our family and lives to pursue legal action. Public court records will show this is not the first contractor legal dispute Brad Robinson has been a part of. The facts of our matter - Brad signed off on an unlicensed contractor to use his license. Bradford Homes is currently the licensed professional on our permit, though another unlicensed company sold us on the work and worked on our house under the false pretenses that they were the licensed professional. When contacting Brad to clarify who he was and why he was on our permit, he admitted to allowing the other company to use his license in a mentorship type way. He also admitted that he never followed up if the other company had told us about being unlicensed, never met with us or on our property, never stepped in on any of the many problems we had permit wise and work wise, and at the end of our call Brad asked us not to contact the authorities. Furthermore, we have proof that our exact scenario has been committed against at least two others - giving room to speculate this could be a scheme/fraud between Brad and the unlicensed contractor. What on a surface level seems innocent enough as mentorship, it is (in our opinion) a very weak excuse/cover-up. The unlicensed contractor that was allowed to work on our home because of Brad Robinson's permit caused immeasurable damage to us monetarily, emotionally, and most importantly compromised our safety. The unlicensed contractor Brad allowed to use his license/permit put us through a litany of damages - breaking into our home, doxing our information on social media, filming commercials in our backyard without signed releases, and consistently failing city inspections. Not to mention shoddy and inexcusable work that has extended from a 4 month project to a 1 year and 2 month project with no end in sight. Another horrible by-product of the time extensions that the inexperienced, unlicensed contractor put us through, is it has left my son (who is a former NICU patient) to be exposed to construction dust and debris for far longer than we could have ever imagined. If Brad was the mentor in this scenario and we consistently brought these concerns to the unlicensed contractor, why did he not mentor or step in to fix these horrible wrongs? Why did he allow this negligence to continue under his name? We are genuinely concerned with the integrity/structure of our home and what this unlicensed contractor was allowed to do unsupervised. What does this mean for the resale of our home? How should we feel good about letting our children sleep under a roof built at the hands of an unqualified/unlicensed/inexperienced contractor? Who was only allowed to continue his ruse because Brad signed-off on it. It is crystal clear that allowing an unlicensed contractor to pose under his license is the root of our problem. After being confronted, Brad came over to our house to discuss but left us with empty date promises and no resolution offers to date. With everything spelled out + other findings, we believe this is an egregious wrong that the public should know about.
