Interior Painting
Shoddy, shoddy work!!! Prep work was not completed before beginning painting. Dust and dirt was actually painted onto baseboards and walls. The majority of nail holes in the trim were not filled. No caulking was done. LOTS of runs, especially on trim, were made with no attempts to correct. Walls were declared to be finished with two coats, but had only one coat, which was glaringly poorly painted with only one coat. Two cans of paint, purchased by owner, were never accounted for, even when rooms were "finished". Owner taped brown paper to floors of upstairs bedrooms, along with plastic to protect contents of closets, and moved all furniture to centers of rooms and also covered with plastic - all voluntary in attempt to be helpful and to allow painters' more time to paint. Oil based paint was applied over latex paint, resulting in family needing to stay three 3 days in hotel to avoid dangerous outgassing of oil paint fumes. Many cigarette butts were dropped outside house even after owner specifically requested prior to beginning work that all butts not be dropped onto ground. NO rooms were ever finished. Repeatedly, owner's polite and clearly communicated requests to correct oversights were directly blatantly dismissed. Company representative was cleverly polite (and himself said that he might easily make "a used car salesman"), but his supervision of his crew was minimal. Owner was left cleaning up after painters left the project and are now doing the job ourselves. Over the years Owners have done lots of painting ourselves and know what quality painting should look like when properly done. Ga Paint's original bid was very high. $2,900. An agreement was made to terminate with owner paying $1,700. And owner had supplied all paint and some supplies! Avoid this company like the plague!!!!!
