 + -1 moreIt is rare that I would write a complaint against a company. Usually I just don't do business with them anymore. In this particular case, I have been a long time customer (since 1977), and had bought a Honda lawn mower from them in the past. I have all my lawn mowers serviced there also. Over the last few months the service has gone down the toilet. I was in this store a month ago to buy cypress mulch and no one was interested in helping me, so I left and went to Home Depot to buy it. I also needed help six weeks ago with parts for my lawn sprinklers and no help was there, so I left and got help at Home Depot. To top it off, I called one of the owners of Ace Hardware, Michael Cantonis, and all he could say was that he would call the store next week and tell them to treat the customers better. My response to Mr. Cantonis was that in the future I would not do business with his store but would go to Home Depot. It is obvious to me that the customer service problem begins at the top.
Description of Work: The latest problem I had with them broke the camels back, so I must tell anyone who reads this the deplorable customer service provided by this company. I ordered a part for my older Lawnboy lawn mower on Monday, June 11, 2007. I was told the part would be in the following Thursday or Friday. I called on Saturday and asked to speak to the lawn mower parts department. I waited five minutes on the phone without a response. I called again and told the lady who answered the phone that I had waited five minutes. She tried to get them only this time I waited seven minutes without help (except from a man named Scott who was no help and obviously incompetent when it comes to helping customers). His main response is that there were a lot of customers in line and that I would have to wait until all of them were served. Scott was rude and so was I over his incompetency with customers. Customer service is important to me. I will drive the extra miles to get it and good value.
