Description of Work: Tampa Solar Contacting installed a solar pool heating system and a solar hot water heating system. It was actually installed in 2008 (not an option in the review menu), and they have been performing flawlessly since. Very impressed with the owner and his responsiveness to my questions.

 + 0 moreThe job went flawlessly. They got here when they said they would and completed the job on that day. They worked through the day and by late in the day the Solar Pool heating was operational. All the work was neat and they cleaned up well after themselves. The permitting process is going as expected.
Description of Work: Estimated Job, and than installed solar panels on roof, plumbed, installed Solar Controller and electric valve. Kyle estimated the job and than did all the roof work and supervised the rest of the project.

 + -1 moreThey were very professional. They were actually very good. Robert, the installer, was very knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to explain everything that needed to be repaired and he even pointed out a couple of flaws in my roof that I was unaware of that he didn't really have to tell me about. I've tried every other place in Tampa and they all sucked. These guys were by far the best that I've had over the years. The price was reasonable. I would absolutely use them again.

Description of Work: I used the services of Tampa Solar Contracting, Inc. He charged me $1000, I remember it because he quoted me a price but I didn’t realize that it was per panel, so it was a lot more than I thought it would be.

 + -1 moreI was very impressed. Contacting some of the big solar companies will cost 3x as much. When I originally called I left a message and it took a few days for him to get back to me - others reviews stated that too so I was expecting it. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

 + 0 more.After getting a start date for my roof, I called Tampa Solar and requested the day before the roof work for the solar panel removal. They obliged, and arrived early on the day scheduled. They quickly removed the panels and stored them for safe keeping while the roof work was done. After the roof was completed, I called them back, and they were out the next day to reinstall the panels and add the thermostat and auto switch. Again they arrived early as scheduled, did a very nice job, and cleaned up all debris. It's a local family business, and they do great work at a fair price
Description of Work: Needed to have a new roof put on, so the solar panels needed to be removed, then put back up in accordance to new Florida code. I also had them add a thermostat and switch for auto temperature comtrol.

 + -1 moreThey reseated a salt system cell. They were extreamly fast and solved my problem in about 10 minutes. From the moment they contacted me to the moment the problem was solved it was about 1 hr. since they had a crew very close to my home. A little bit on the expensive side, but I got the results I wanted.
Description of Work: The Chlorinator cell that they had installed before was stuck and we were unable to take it out for cleaning. They came and reseated the cell.

THEY ARE VERY BUSY, SO GETTING THEM ON SITE WHEN YOU'RE AVAILABLE CAN BE A BIT CHALLENGING. WHILE THE SOLAR PANELS SEEM TO BE WITHIN COMPETITIVE PARAMETERS, THEY DO OPERATE A BIT ON THE HIGH-COST END. THE COUNTER TO THIS IS YOU HAVE A SMALL BUSINESS MAN WHO LIKES WHAT HE DOES AND DOES A GOOD JOB. I SAW ONE REPORT CALLING IT EXHORBITANT - I'D SAY IT WAS MORE ON THE LINE OF 20-30% HIGHER THAN AVERAGE COMPETITIVE COSTS TODAY.
Description of Work: TSC REMOVED THE OLD SOLAR PANELS FROM MY HOUSE (6) AND REINSTALLED NEW (8) PANELS, AS THE ORIGINALS WERE FROM 1985-6. ALSO REMOVED THE EXISTING CARTRIDGE SYSTEM AND INSTALLED A DE FILTRATION SYSTEM, AS WELL AS A SALT CHLORINATION SYSTEM. FINALLY, THEY INSTALLED AN AUTOMATED SYSTEM WITH IN-HOUSE (MIRRORING EXTERNAL CONTROL PANEL) CONTROLS TO MONITOR POOL LEVELS OF TEMPERATURE AND CHLORINATION (AS WELL AS SET STOP AND START TIMES OF FILTRATION SYSTEM).
