I received a fair quote not the cheapest nor the highest of the three that I received. All contract signing was through email which was great as my time is mostly taken up with work. Staff showed up on time and did a great job coordinating with the electrical contractor. They cleaned up after themselves. I am very pleased with the job that Keith O'Neill Plumbing did for me

Good job on conversion from electric to gas. Contractor dealt with all permits and fees and arranged to accept utility rebates as part of payment, which lowered our of pocket and paperwork. Gave fair on responsiveness but to be fair we were in the middle of a big utility promotion. Quite happy with contractor and subcontractors. Job looks very good. Recommended water heater is good. One concern is recommendation to use another vendor for stove, but that vendor did not have a competitively priced selection of stoves

I had already dug up and exposed the pipe prior to the plumber getting here. He cut the bad part out and joined the two parts with a u-joint. Because I had dug it up (and filled it in after the repair) he was able to hold the cost down to one hour plus parts. Great work is why we keep using this company

It generally went well. There was a lack of communication between contract signing and the actual installation. I think the cause was their being very busy. The city was offering double rebates for the installation of gas and high efficiency water heaters, and HVAC systems. This made them very busy. Once they got going, things went well

we are DIYers. They gave good advice for fireplace, came within days of my calling for running gas line and performing pre-inspection work and came within a couple of days post-inspection to complete and test. Got three quotes - their's was the best and they knew the details of needing an inspection. we installed new kitchen and they connected new sink after stone installation. A bit tricky so they had three guys on it but didn't stop until it was done and working with no problem. staff is very courteous, friendly and were patient with my phone calls. will definitely use them in the future and have already recommended them

The estimate was completed timely and done by Mr McNeill himself. He provided several options and we chose to have the tankless water heater installed. There was only a short timeframe to schedule the work due to the city rebate due date and our vacation plans. When I hadn't heard from them for several days after accepting their bid, I called the scheduler and did not get a return call for several days. They were to run gas lines and also connect to the new gas furnace. This was clearly indicated on the estimate. The crew did come out to install and did not do the job correctly as they did not realize the new furnance was in place and the gas lines they installed were not the correct size nor did they connect to the furnace. We did not realize this error until I contacted Nicole who was taking care of my rebate paperwork. McNeill quickly contacted me and set another date for work to be be corrected. . We feel this error occurred because the first crew was in a hurry. Furthermore the first crew did not have as much attention to detail as they should have had and the exterior pipe that connects to the meter did not sit at a 90 degree angle (and was crooked) probably because they did not bother to cut it to exactly to the right size. When we pointed this out to the second installer he agreed and fixed it right away. As others have mentioned it was a very busy time and I understand that mistakes do happen. Yet I do feel that perhaps more attention to customer service should be given by the installers as well as reviewing exactly what work was done--that way the error could have been found right away rather than waiting until I had called to take care of my bill. I do feel though that the mistake was quickly taken care of and ultimately the only problem was the inconvenience. McNeil did a good job of coordinating with the city on the gas meter and inspection and we were very pleased with the second installer (don't recall his name) Nicole was fabulous in handling all the paperwork and we were concerned that the rebate papers had to be filed while we were away on vacation. She took care of it all and really knows her stuff. Despite this experience I would probably consider using McNeil again and just be more vigilent on my part to make that everything gets done

First they installed a tankless water heater, including running new gas lines (there was existing gas service to house, but previously an electric water heater) and regulators. Mr. Smith showed up on time for the estimate, gave a fair price ($1,600), and after I agreed, the work was done quickly and well. I would give an A on this job. Following that, I called them back to do a few odd jobs at time-and-materials. They sent another worker, who made a new leak while doing a poor job of fixing another, suggested I replace a leaky sink faucet without apparently attempting repair, and didn't even attempt several other small jobs, and then invoiced me for two hours of work (I was out of the house while this was going on). The coupler is a job that would have taken me 15 minutes, and most pros could do in five, and I subsequently fixed the sink faucet for the cost of a $4.00 cartridge and 20 minutes of my time, so what this guy was doing for two hours is beyond me. I would give an F on this job. Bottom line, they seem to have some capable plumbers and give fair quotes, but they have one worker who just didn't do the job he was called in to do

"They were okay. They had a lot of turnover, so the folks that did it, did not actually finish the job off right. Whenever we called them back, they sent other people out that confirmed that it was not done right. We ended up having the owner to come out to actually rectify some of the situations. There were some hiccups with it but they really worked to make things right. On the flipside, they were supposed to come back in April and do a year’s follow-up but they never showed up. It is hard to complain about that because it is working so it is okay.
Hearth and Patio Sales is a small business with large ambitions.
"I had some other company come in and access the fireplace for repair. First, that company charge a cut-throat price to just come look at it, and then quoted over $600.00 to fix the problem. Of cause I could not afford that kind of payment so I came to Angie's list.I found Hearth and Patio Sales and Services.
He squeezed me into his schedule, charged $75.00 to come out and access the damage.
He came, found what was wrong, fixed it and when I asked for my bill, he said $75.00!
Just the cost of driving out since I beblieve, the cost of repair was negligible!
Imagine how happy and surprised I was. The other company would have taken my $600.00 for nothing.
So thank you Lee, for your service.
