Windows Plus

It went fine until the final step of adding the trim around one of the trapezoid windows. When we noticed two cracks in the corner of the recently installed window, Todd said, "I knew it was going to be that window! That window was tricky." Not only does Windows Plus not offer the service of installing the trim around the windows, Todd failed to warn us of the potential pitfall, that we could install the trim too tightly and cause a crack. He worked well with us throughout the entire process until this point, but it was a key and costly point. The total cost of the job was $2,709, plus $710 for external framing: $3,419. The quote to replace the cracked window is: $1,182, which would make the whole job cost: $4,601, and these windows aren't even hurricane impact quality. We can't afford to fix the cracked trapezoid now. If I had to do it over again, I would hire Herman Vanderheyden (also A rated on Angie's List) for the job. Vanderheyden would have performed a complete installation (includes framing and trim) of hurricane impact windows for $4,600. I made the mistake of going with the lowest bidder for the job on the trapezoids. Incidentally, we hired Vanderheyden to replace all of our other doors and windows in our 2,800 sq ft home (hurricane impact) for a total of: $21,741 with no issue.

The technician arrived at the time specified. He looked at the job I needed done, said it would take 30-40 minutes and verified that the price was acceptable. He was very polite and professional and completed the job in the amount of time he had estimated. I am very pleased and would certainly use the company again and would recommend them to friends.

Repairmen were friendly and professional, performed all work in timely manner and even fixed a back door that needed a slight adjustment at no charge. Also reviewed another door and concluded no repair needed.

Todd arrive on time after calling to make sure we were home. We discussed the scope of the job and he started work. When the job was completed he asked us to inspect the replaced window panes. We found one pane slightly off center and Todd came into the house to view the pane from our prospective and he adjusted it to perfection. He then cleaned the area and made sure all broken glass, etc. was removed. Todd was pleasure to work with and I would recommend him to anyone.

The price was a bit on the high side, I thought, but not unreasonable (especially considering that I had no interest in doing this job myself). I would definitely use Windows Plus again.

I emailed on Wednesday, they called me on Thursday and set up a time to come out to give an estimate (free). The estimate was accepted that day. My window was completely repaired and finished by noon the next day (in less than 48 hours from the initial email contact). Was very pleased with quickness of service and the quality of the work.

He put in some heavy duty windows. The windows would not stay up due to the weighting system. We advised that we did not need to worry about this but he advised us due to standards and a piece of mind, he had to correct the issue. He corrected it with no extra cost but it cost him time, staff. We have been working with windows plus for about a year and a half.

The men were here right when they were scheduled. Very professional (clean cut, "yes sir no sir", etc.). They took the measurements and told me that someone from their office would contact me that afternoon with a quote. That same afternoon I received a call from the office with the quote for the work. I accepted the quote, and the person told me she would contact me as soon as the window was ready. Within a week I got a call that the window was in and ready to be installed. I set the appointment for 8:00AM and the workers were in the driveway at 7:50AM!!! My old window was replaced with a new window, that I can now see out of, and the guy's were here and gone in an hour. Again, very nice and professional. Great experience all the way around!
