Just no. I dropped off a Bissell for warranty work, and after 12 days, he a. can't tell me whether or not they've tried to work on it, b. although he thinks it should probably be replaced, he cannot tell me if he sent Bissell that request, c. and finally, he cannot give me an accurate assessment of where my vacuum is within their system of repair or replacement even though I give him an account number to look up. So, no. Just no.

The owner is very rude with people, he told me on the phone that he doesn't have to deal with my crap. I asked him what I had done to him to upset him. He said the I am mean to him. When I sent in a vacuum for repair they didn't offer a vacuum to lend. My housekeeper had to ask them for a loaner vacuum and they gave her one. I am a loyal customer, I have spent thousands of dollars with this company, and they lost my account when I was supposed to earn a promotional item.

When my central vac stopped working, I called the Vacuum Center on North 9th Avenue. I had ordered a part from them for a SteamVac several months ago and had found them easy to deal with and professional. The owner, Tim Theriault, came out, assessed the inoperable/unrepairable status of my 34 year old central vac and suggested a replacement. He had the machine in his van and was able to replace my old one on the spot. He was quick, and carted off the old defunct parts. The only thing that was lacking was a proper length high capacity extension cord which Tim said he would put up for me when I got it. I asked for a hose holder and an attachment caddy, too, and when I called to tell Tim I had the cord, he came right away, attached the cord and brought the hose caddy (which he put up for me) and a bag for the attachments. Then he put on the hose sock for me which was a good thing, because it required some degree of expertise and dexterity. I had paid the bill when Tim installed the system, so I was very pleased that he was still so quick to show up and finish the job as promised. All in all, this was a good experience.
