Superior Granite

They were excellent and the sales lady was extremely patient with me in making decisions on what to install. They got it done very quickly and I would definitely hire them again. I would highly recommend them as well.

We owned our home for over 10 years. The 1st owners who lived here for 2-3 years had Formica counter tops. When we saw warping in one area that was the trigger to change to granite. We choose Typhoon Bordeaux (from Brazil). Meeting with Ashley at their Fort Walton office was great. She was very helpful, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and honest. She will tell you upfront that granite is full of beautiful imperfections. They grade it with letters of the alphabet. The higher the letter the more expensive the granite is. Next came Keith to do the measurement. Keith was professional, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and answers all the questions. Install date April 28, 2017 or about 2 weeks from our initial visit. Superior Granite requires 50% down and the rest post install. Fred and Brian came to install. Very professional, courteous, friendly and clean. They came at the scheduled appointment date and time. During the removal of the old counter top they broke one of the drawer section (see pics). They fix it without a hitch. They removed our old kitchen sink, stove top and laundry room sink. They cut the hole of the stove top inside to reduce the risk of breaking it (if they do it outside and have to carry it inside). They cover all the appliances (fridge, water dispenser, oven, microwave) to reduce dust contamination. Periodically they vacuum and clean up. They used a lot of paper towels and they had a large transparent garbage bag. They install the under mount kitchen sink to the granite, place the new stove top (you will need your own installer to hook up the electrical and downdraft vent) and placed the above the counter sink in the laundry room. You will also need your own plumber to hook up the sinks and dishwasher later. They work from about 9:30 am till almost 6 pm. They utilized the driveway and the garage for cutting place and work space. Fred said we lacked some back splash and have to come back for it. For those Do it yourself handy you could save time by pre removing some of the counter tops and old sinks and stove tops once install date is confirmed. For those who don't want hassle you could just wait. . We requested Fred to return for the back splash. Superior Granite sent John and Shawn who were equally professional. My wife requested them to fix a fissure (see pics) but they politely recommend to call main office to have a specialist. Mike came a few days later and made the fissure invisible. All in all less than a month from initial visit to completion. Would definitely recommend them for their professionalism, craftsmanship, cleanliness, honesty and price. You will save time if you don't keep changing your choice of granite. Do not invest in granite replacement if you don't know your choice of color. Superior Granite was recommended to us through our realtor. I wrote this review for the benefit of members of Angie's List.

I rated Superior Granite overall with a B because of their failure to meet the agreed upon installation date.
The date had been set for 3 weeks, which was fine, but when someone tells you the day before that they will be at your house the next day, then you expect them to be there.
On the day of the scheduled installation, I received a call telling me that they couldn't make it, it would be a day later.
Where I grew up, a man is only as good as his word; obviously Superior Granite doesn't feel that is necessary.
Was assured the installers would be there the next day between 9:00am and 10:00am. Well, about 9:30am got a call saying, once again, Superior Granite can't meet the commitment, that it would be around 11:00am.
Obviously I was extremely disappointed in the customer service provided by Superior Granite.
I requested that the owner at least give me a call to apologize for their lack of professionalism - I guess my jab wasn't important enough to Superior Granite's owners to warrant a call to apologize.

I was very pleased with the crew that did the installation; they overcame the top that was cut short and the installation looks great.

I answered no to the question about using them again - that depends on if I ever get an apology.

This is the second time for purchasing granite countertops locally, and it was better than the first experience which was a good
experience. The selection of granite was phenomenal. I wanted a professional job with a quality product, and I got it.

From the time my wife and I first stopped by the Superior Granite location on Pine Forest Road through the time the installers left, I knew we were dealing with a great group of professionals. When we first walked into the showroom, Mike (last name? sorry) was very patient in explaining all about granite counter tops, of which we knew little other than they looked nice. During our initial visit and the in-home estimate a few days later, there was no sales pressure whatsoever (bonus points from me).
The installers were very professional and courteous. They wore company uniforms (more bonus points). Once the installation was complete, they did an excellent job of cleaning up.
Given the quality of the product and service, I think Superior Granite is an excellent value and I highly recommend them.

Upon recommendation of Steven Shelly, East Hill Building and Design, the general contractor, we went to meet with Superior Granite. We went to the Pace location and met Fonda. She showed us granite slabs and told about the different types and grades of granite. We then tentatively picked out a slab of African Fantasy. After the cabinets were installed, they came out to measure and make the template. Several weeks later, when other work had been completed, they came out and installed the counters. Even at this late date, they gave us options as to whether we wanted granite back splashes (we did not) and installed the counters in the kitchen and dining room. Even the people installing the counters were happy with their work and pleased to make us happy. They did an excellent job joining the pieces and drilling for the faucet and soap dispenser. Again, they were proud of their work and their enthusiasm showed thru.
We are totally pleased and would not hesitate to recommend them for any granite work.

My experience with Superior Granite is nothing short of excellent. Ms. Spence explained granite installation to me and showed me different grades and different finishes. My husband and I knew very little about granite. When we had chosenthe granite we wanted, Ms. Spence gave me a sample and more advice about tile backsplashes and faucets, etc. She even helped me find licensed a plumber and tile setter. I started at the Pace location, but visited the main office and showroom on Pine Forest Road several times. I inadvertently left my jacket at the Pine Forest office, and Fonda Spence brought the jacket to my house in Pace. She went out of her way to make everything run smoothly during the whole adventure.

A young man came to my house to measure for the granite, and I was amazed at the high-tech and professional way he measured, and it took him only an hour or so. Then three young men came to our house and installed the granite. It took most of one day; I was thoroughly pleased with the job the young men did. They worked as a team and cleaned up after the job. They were polite and helpful when answering my questions.

Our granite is nothing short of awesome. It's so beautiful that I think I'm in the wrong house sometimes. I met the owner of Superior Granite only once, briefly, but he was polite; I met many others at the company, but Ms. Fonda Spence made the journey from inquiry through completion a delightful experience.
