The contractor was nice. He showed up and did the work he said he would. The quality was good. They were very professional. I would reuse them.

Installation of the fireplace went very smoothly.  We used an installer they scheduled through Stone Age named Gregg Boutin.  We had a completely white fireplace with white tile surround and hearth.  WE decided to make a more dramatic fireplace impression and make it a focal point in our living room.  We chose a multi color slate ledger stone (California Gold) for surround and a chiseled dark walnut color travertine tile  for the top of the hearth.  Both products were able to be installed over existing tiles.  We left the mantle and wood frame white.  At the suggestion of Dan, we had the tiles on the top of the hearth installed in a diamond pattern since they were 16inch and wouldn't fill the hearth in a single row if laid horizontally.  Though it was more work for the installer, we absolutely LOVE the finished product!!!!  It is a very custom look, and the fireplace is now the focal point and a unique custom feature in our home.  We are thrilled with the difference this remodel has made in our home.  The result is worth far more than the $780 cost.  We can't walk into the living room now without saying "Wow!  What a gorgeous fireplace!"  I would HIGHLY recommend Stone Age for anyone considering a fireplace remodel.  I plan to use them for flooring in the near future!  Thanks STONE AGE!

The prices were better than other competitors.  The overall experience was very positive.  They accommodated my in-laws and they helped me pick out stones that would accommodate them.  The stones they use are beautiful and I was very pleased with them.  I was very pleased with the whole situation.
