SOLID DESIGN FABRICATORS INC

When we decided to replace our kitchen countertops, I did a lot of research. I wanted to find a stone that we would not only like but LOVED. I went to many places and saw stone I liked but kept searching for the perfect stone for us. I happened to see the Solid Design Granite sign by the road and stopped in. Am I ever glad I did! I met Eric and the people there were so friendly and knowledgeable They had a great variety and I found the perfect one for us. But, they even shared with me the name of their supplier, which had a very large selection to chose from. However, I kept coming back to the one I saw at Solid Design. Their measuring and cutting equipment is state-of-the art. Eric, Robert,Stephanie, Justin and the installation crew were such a pleasure to work with. They were able to show us digitally what the countertops would look like before they ever cut it. The installation was seamless and only took two days. Even with the cabinet alterations, cooktops, sinks etc. We have a large kitchen but were less than five days without it! The staff is exceptional, organized and so accommodating!! The granite was cut wrong and never fit properly when installed. After numerous calls and emails with photos of the poor installation, (4 months) the owner came out to look at our countertops and gave many excuses as to why they fit the way they did. First it was our granite was cut freehand while their "big system was down", then he decided that is was our walls and cabinets, then it was our measurements! They came out and took the measurements! We refused to pay the final 1/3 of our invoice until they corrected our countertops. They never came back, stopped returning our calls and charged our credit card for the final balance that we had to dispute.
