flooring contractor
 + -1 moreThe first thing I checked was underlayment packaging and there was no mention of sound deadening; I stopped install called Armstrong and the tech said their product had very little sound deadening. Called Slaytons and Don and distributor both talked me into proceeding stating Armstrong was wrong. I kew it wasn't gong to work but Don Said when the trim is done itwould make a difference. The floor is worse then the old cheap carpet I had and the job is not finished (trim}. Sent registered letter and BBB with no response. I am a senior and this was a major life time investment. No other reputable company will touch the floor {Liability}. I am stuck and very unhappy.
Description of Work: Purchased 11/06, install 12/11/06. I live in upstairs condo with restrictions on floor coverings, was not happy with noise. Did some research on new sound deadening products and went to Slaytons with info. Don Slayton assured me that his underlayment was as good as what I had found. He told me that he was in business 20 yrs and knew what he was doing. I trusted his expertise. He also said another product would void warranty. I finalized sale via phone call.
