Roofing
They damaged the decking and broke pipes that led to flooding in the kitchen. They worked a haphazard schedule and took several weeks to finish a job that could have been done in a couple of days. New roof no better than old one.

Service tech arrived and quickly analyzed the problem of lack of proper heating in the water tank. Replaced and checked the new lower element controller and also checked the temperature-pressure relief valve. Water tank was still under warranty and the only charge was for service call and repair, which was very reasonable.

Contacted Aand E Service via Maytag website to diagnose and repair 9 year old Maytag Dryer. Turns out that Aand E Service is Sears. Steve showed up on schedule and looked at the unit. Said it needed a logic board and it would have to be ordered and shipped to my house. Then I was to call and schedule a tech to come out and do actual replacement install. Payment made up front for labor and part. Part showed up within a week. Called to schedule tech and it took some effort due to bad weather at Sears call center in NC. After multiple transfers we finally got the tech scheduled. He showed up, put the part in, and drier immediate showed signs of same problem. At this point he said we could get a credit for the part we already paid for and he would order another part. At this point the repair was going to cost nearly as much as a new drier. I said no thanks. There were only two possible bad parts. I ordered the other part myself from online source and installed it myself. Now, I'm having a hassle trying to get my refund for the first part installed. They cashed my check quick enough, but tell me it will be a month before they issue a refund.
So, to summarize:
Drier needed one to two possible parts. Tech mis-diagnosed and ordered part not needed. Paid tech $430 ($137 labor and $293 for part)
Once that part arrived I had to schedule new service call.
Tech installed part and it became obvious it needed the other part.
New part was going to be $530 plus additional $100 labor. Online the part was $225.
Ordered and installed myself - took less than 20 minutes.
Still waiting for the $293 refund. Told to expect it in a month.

Lawn Tool Repair
They gave us the runaround in terms of scheduling the appointment. They didn't come. We called and they had canceled the appointment without talking to us. We talked to supervisor and he was being really snotty. I couldn't talk to the person doing the repair. Their customer service was rude.
