ROOMS TO GO

Called local RTG store to ask what was going on and the initial person gave the impression she would rather be on the floor selling rather than answering a potential complaint. This was obvious when she said "you will have to work this out with the online people tomorrow: After we did not accept a put off as an answer, she then explained we got what we paid for. When confronted the advertised sale pictured a nightstand and a chest, she said the bed represented 3 of the 5 pieces and we should go back to our online receipt because the receipt was the way to "find out what we bought"! What a croc - well I guess if you practice deceptive selling then you really do need to go back after the purchase and find out what you bought... When it was clear the call was going nowhere, we requested a manager. After making us wait for several minutes, the manager repeated the storyline above telling us what a great deal we got. There was no satisfaction, no proposals for making repeat customers happier, no nothing. The discussion then became somewhat contentious when we mentioned if deceptive practices was supported by RTG we would report to the BBB, Angles List, etc. The manager cynically suggested we also complain to the federal trade commission. Can you believe that? Note this is not the only bad experience with this company, and shame on us for that, except there aren't many large furniture stores in Pensacola. Prior to this visit, we were ambushed by a sells person, who was quite obnoxious in her attempt to divide and conquer husband and wife, finally resulting in us walking out the door in disgust. If you have a choice, don't go to RTG.
