Rob's responded to my call immediately.  Someone came out to give an estimate and the job was complete within a day!  I stayed out of the house because of the fumes but when I returned, I couldn't believe how great it looked.  The house is over 30 years old and it was the original cast iron tub.  The tile looked drab and needed grout work but after the job was done it looked like an entire new bathroom, truly amazing.  I don't remember the exact cost but it was so worth it.  I would definitely use this service again and highly recommend it.

Removed old painted on finish and sprayed new finish with anti-slip
texture on bottom of old cast iron tub. Steve was on time-930 am and
finished by 1pm. Excellent work and cleaned up when finished. Other
quotes were in $225-300 range, but prefer to pay more for quality work

This was the 2nd job I had Rob do for us in the last 2 years.  Rob answers his own phone when the initial call is made and that is refreshing.  Each time I can explain to him the issue of what we need done.  This latest job was to repair a crack that had grown larger in a standup fiberglass shower.  It also looked ugly.  Rob's employee arrived at the scheduled time which was important since this is a vacation condo and we need to get things like this done between guests.  The test of a good job for me is when I can't see evidence that there was ever a problem with the shower or tub.  That mean the repair was done expertly. I would recommend Rob and his company to others without hesitation.

It looked just like new when he was done. It only took him only about four hours. It cost a whole lot less than I thought it would. It was beautiful. I will recommend him to others as well.

I had a porclien tub and the 3 tiled walls that surround my tub that had seen better days. Received a few estimates from tub liner companies and refinishing companies. I was amazed how expensive tub liners are.My estimate was $5000!! Not to mention I really didnt want to enclose my porclien tub in plastic .What if water made its way under the liner??That could cause a huge amount of damage.)Also I personally thought that the tub liners looked cheap and for the price of the liner I could have torn out my complete bathtub and started over.I just wanted my tub to be pretty .

I called Robs Refinishing because of the length of time they have been in business as well as their bbb rating.Actaually spoke to the owner Rob...He was really helpful explaining the process to me and the quote he gave on the phone $595 was in my opinion was a fair price considering the other bids I received from other tub contractors.
A couple days later Tim,the technician ,who has been with them for 17 years arrived ,wait for it............ on time!He was couteous and got right down to business. After a few hours my tub and tile looked brand new again!! I was pleased to see how wonderful it turned out..
Then Tim cleaned up and it was as good as new.

When time to pay ,the quote I received is exactly what I was quoted on the phone.I was given my warranty (5years) and he was on his way..

There is a odor that's comes with the refinishing. They do use a big fan thing to suck the smell out of the house , but really considering I saved $ 4405 I just opened a few windows and all the while thought about the bubble bath I would take the next day And just how fabulous my tub and tile looked.

I would absolutley refer anyone to Robs Refinishing. I could not be more pleased with the end results

It went great! No complaints, except the smell, which I know they can't help. These guys did another job for me the previous year. They refinished two tubs in a rental home I have. Also, did a great job.

I have already told the story from beginning to end. The work was done this month (Sept.) The process is spraying on the material - you need to plan two days for this because it has to dry.

Rob was very nice on the phone and seemed professional. Since his business encompasses Pensacola, Gulf Shores and Mobile, I think he may be over extended. He sent a very young person out to do the work.

I was quoted $1800 for the entire job and I agreed to it. I thought it was fairly high, but since Ivan, it seems like all contractor work has skyrocketed in price. After I saw how much work it took to complete the job, I thought the price was a lot more fair than I did at first. All in all I am satisfied with the job, with a few exceptions. They are as follows: 1)I like to think that I'm a reasonable person. If a tradesman cannot make an appointment, that's fine. I just would expect a courtesy call so I either know he'll be late or we can reschedule. Things happen, I know this. This proved to be an ongoing problem with Darrick. He was several hours late on the first day and didn't call my wife and I until we spoke to Rob, the owner. Darrick then called and said he was stuck at home watching his kids because his wife was still at work. He was late almost every time we set an appointment, and not by a few minutes, sometimes by over 3 hours, and almost always he didn't call to let us know. That's extremely unprofessional. I used to have a moving company, and I absolutely insisted my guys call the customer if they were going to be over 15 minutes late. Because of this lateness, a certain level of tension started growing between us and Darrick, which I feel eventually showed up in his work. The first bathroom he did went fine. The second had some issues because Darrick just started acting like he wanted to just be done and be gone. When he taped off the tiles for spray painting, he tore away several sections of the paint on the walls. It's not a huge deal, because we plan on repainting anyway, but now we weren't given the option. He also caused etching damage from an acid he used on the tiles that landed on the spigot in the bathtub, and the sink faucet because of poor job of taping them off. He customized the tile coating for this room, and apparently threw out the mix before doing touchups, so a few of the tiles around the tub don' match perfectly. When we talked to Rob about our issues with Darrick, he implied to my wife that it was our own fault for using a customized color, instead of one of the two standard ones they have in stock. That's not true, because it was Darrick who suggested the customized color. My wife and I expected both bathroom tiles to be done in the same bone coloring the first one was. The custom color was a surprise for us. I was surprised at the mixture of professional labor and craftmanship, and the apparent disregard of our time wasted sitting around waiting for him to decide to show up, or for that matter to even call.
