"For starters, there is a major language barrier here. Middle East and English. [Member name removed] called me and stated she had a handyman install a garbage disposal the day before and her dishwasher had not worked since. I was confident I knew what the problem was AS I HAVE WITNESSED THIS SITUATION ATLEAST 5 TIMES in the last 5 years. She stated she would not be there and how much would it be. I stated $75.00. When i arrived, I found exactly what i expected. The knockout on the garbage disposal for the dishwasher drain had not been taken out (knocked out) so the dishwasher will not drain. Although the man that answered the door was nice enough, I did not feel very welcomed by the others and I think they were getting ready to sitdown to a afternoon meal. The man ran the dishwasher, and i wanted to set it to the discharge setting, but he stated it needed to run the cycle, so like a professional (or perhaps an idiot) i sat out in the driveway in my truck waiting for him to call me and let me know all was well (that was our agreement). Twenty minutes goes by and no call, so I knock on the door and he states: " all seems to be fine, if there are any issues we will call". [Member name removed] calls me 3 hours later, and try as i may, she would not listen to reason. Her dishwasher was still not working, and it was my fault. I did not go there to fix her dishwasher. Had the knockout been taken out of the garbage disposal, I would have left without charging a dime, but it had not been taken out and the dishwasher was not going to drain. Now, did the pump burnout trying to push the water out against a blocked passage? I don't know. Here is what i do know. I'm running a company with the name PLUMB HONEST. I HAD BETTER BE HONEST!!!! AND I AM!!!!!!!!!!!! Have i made mistakes? yes i have. Have i ever cheated a customer? NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!!!!! [Member name removed] check sits on my desk uncashed. Am i justified in cashing it? Yes i am. I will not cash [Member name removed] check. I will keep it as a reminder i have no use or need for people who conduct themselves like she did.
