We have been using Pine Forest Automotive for body work/repairs for many years and we have always been extremely impressed with the outstanding quality of their repair work/customer service. They are the local recommended service center for all USAA Insurance members.

The service was excellent and the customer service was most profssional. I went in for an oil change that was on special and they did a courtest check on my filters and tire pressure. They made recomendations for future service, but put no pressure on mre to have it done while there. I would return and recommend them highly.

Overall, I am very pleased with Adam Medley and his crew. Good work which is done on time. They are courteous, and the prices are competitive. An additional benefit is you get to browse their pre-owned car lot while you wait!

If you want to know if Pine Forest is the place to go to, please keep reading.
We had our car towed down to Pine Forest Automotive with our AAA service. We knew that they were a AAA approved shop and we asked for the free 24 point inspection to see if there was anything else we weren’t seeing. At first it was a running vehicle, but then it started overheating with the coolant boiling, and then the next day it wouldn’t start anymore and had a chiming noise. So we also asked them to get it running again and to have the coolant issue fixed. That is when things began to get very confusing. After a few days of having the car everything was fine and it was just a “diagnosis and an electrical issue”, and the guy said was an easy fix and we could drive our car off their lot soon because it was running again, but the next day he said they found issues with the power steering which would cost $400 and the solenoids in the transmission were broke. Those things should have been discovered during the inspection, which is what we didn’t understand. When I asked what was wrong with the power steering and transmission he said “I dunno”, and he said it as if he was taking out his bad day on us, so we contacted AAA to help us talk to the shop.
The next day we were yelled at by Pine Forest!! We were called at home, by the guy we’ve been talking with at Pine Forest, and he was yelling at us for calling AAA on them. We explained our concerns about where the new damages came from when he would let us get a word in. Finally he flat out admitted they didn’t even do the 24 point inspection, which explained to us right away why they didn’t know about the other problems when we asked them. He said that most of his customers “don’t have their cars towed in for free 24 point inspections”.
We told him that isn’t the only reason it was brought in and that he knew that! He said it was our fault we didn’t understand things and then he said, and I quote here, “It’s your fault for buying a crappy a** car.”
I was in tears. So we just told him we’d pay to get the car right away, we’d be on our way down there to get it, and that we were very unhappy with their terrible service. We didn’t know what else to say. When we got there the receipt he gave us had a rude and angry explanation of his side of the story on the front, with exclamation points to get his point across. We were incredibly insulted. This paper said the car was only brought in for over heating issues, which is absolutely not true. To top it all off, he didn't even fix the over heating! (After paying we got into the car to leave and the car did not start and made the same chiming noise as it did before we brought it in. They had to jump start it for ten minutes before we could even leave and one of the other mechanics recommended “Don’t stop until it gets where its going or it might stall”. When we got home the car smelled, was steaming, and the coolant was boiling as it did before we brought it in for them to fix.)
All of the 3 reasons it was brought there (Free 24 point inspection, not starting, over heating) were not done.
The diagnostics they ran were wrong about it being electrical issues, which means that we paid for diagnostics and a repair that was not necessary to fix the issues we wanted fixed. We only approved their prices because they claimed that is what it would take to fix it. After dealing with AAA for a couple weeks, they finally got in touch with the right people at Pine Forest and got almost half of our money back, but not all of it due to some “Florida statute” they said. The Pine Forest manager wouldn’t deal with us personally, but had some secretary sign us over a check that had something along the lines of “A good gesture as requested by AAA” written in the note section. It is clear that they only care about keeping their “AAA approval rating” than anything else and do not care about their customers. I’ve never felt more ripped off and insulted in my life.

Adam from Pine Forest had an inspection done to make sure since hose was leaking and when the bad hose was found I was told it could be fixed without a problem and that I did not need to replace any belts that were exposed to the leaking fluid as opposed to another repair company had told me. No fault to the company but the hoses did need to be ordered by from the dealer and that is why the price was higher than it may be for other makes and models. I own a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon. The entire process took about two weeks only because I had to wait for the part to be ordered and able to get my car in to get the hose replaced.
