Mid October: Pensacola Energy did their job, the gas line not comes out of the ground near the house where the meter would go. Now it's entirely up to Mr.Rooter.
Mid October: Mr.Rooter installs the water heater (tankless) on the wall and does basic plumbing in the house.
Mid October: Mr.Rooter requested the county Inspector to come in. No further work can be done until "Rough" inspection is done.
Late October: Nobody came, so I called the inspector's office myself and found out that the request was never in.
Late October: Furthermore, I found out that the permit was never obtained and that's why inspection request was denied.
Comment: I think Mr.Rooter should have though, hmm, nothing is happening, maybe I should check...but they didn't. I had to be the one to notice nobody showed up, and call everyone. I called Mr.Rooter and told them that they were working without permit and that's why inspector never came.
Early November: Mr.Rooter belatedly obtains permit. It has to do with secretary quitting and that was their excuse.
Early November: Mr.Rooter finally comes, installs water heater (tankless, gas) on the wall, connects pipe and calls in for inspection. Inspector's office is backed up and took more than week to come.
Mid November: Inspection fails on 6 points, including complete lack of safety valve on fireplace I explicitly asked them to install, and lack of "Flush Kit" on the water heater without which the heater cannot be cleaned and is an automatic failure for the inspection. They did not connect the water line to the heater prior to inspection, which should have been done prior to inspection.
Comment: Two issues from me: (1) Mr.Rooter was supposed to know that flush kit was required. They had no idea. (2) Mr.Rooter was supposed to know that water line needed to be connected prior to inspection. they did not know that.
Mid November: I sent a polite text message the technician to please come by. The message was sent the day inspection failed. NO REPLY. Nobody showed up. I called the Mr.Rooter office to have another technician evaluate the situation. Secretary promised to have someone else give me a call back. NOBODY CALLED ME.
Comment: This is not just one technician, the whole company has tendency to (1) not have answer when you call, and (2) does not keep the promise to call back.
Late November: The new shiny gas appliances sit in the garage awaiting installation still, visible damages to the walls (more holes than absolutely needed drilled), got nobody to talk to.
Late November: Thinking lawsuit and/or change of contractor.
