We work on both foreign and domestic cars and usually it is same day service, same day turn around with an appointment.

I thought the service was good. I would recommend them to others. I think their prices are a little high, but the quality of work is worth it

I am not saying that I was deceived, but a computer diagnostics that does NOT lead to a repair should not cost $200. I like to think that my local business, whom I decided to patronize would practice the way I would if I were in that job. Charging 10 dollars for HAZMAT that I obviously did not create is a bit much.
Description of Work: The motorized passenger door on my 2005 Honda Odyssey stopped working and I sought help from Key Hospital folks. I told them that I had a trip planned for the next day and asked to expedite the assessment and call with the estimate ASAP. After having the vehicle there into the afternoon, I finally called them only to hear how "tough it was" to access the device that powers the door after a couple codes came up on the diagnostics computer. The bottom line price to fix the van was over $800. I declined the repair and said to call when the van was ready for pick up. When I got to the shop, I was told that upon placing things back together, a "click" was heard and the door was working now. Read into that what you will. I was still charged 200 dollars for labor, and ONE dollar for parts, to total $216.08 (oh, and $10.00 for "Hazardous Materials").

SORRY FOR ANY MISCOMMUNICATION THAT WE MAY HAVE HAD. I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT MOST VEHICLE OWNERS DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE COMPLEXITY OF THE VEHICLES THEY DRIVE. OUR DIAGNOSTICS DID NOT LEAD TO A REPAIR BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER DECLINED IT. THAT IS NOT IN OUR CONTROL. ANOTHER MISCONCEPTION IS THAT THERE IS A MAGIC COMPUTER BOX THAT I CAN CONNECT TO A VEHICLE AND FIND OUT EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH IT. THIS IS JUST NOT THE CASE, I WISHED IT WAS, AS IT WOULD MAKE MY JOB MUCH EASIER. WE HAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS INVESTED IN EQUIPMENT TO MAKE DIAGNOSTICS POSSIBLE, BUT YET WE STILL MUST TEST SOME COMPONENTS WITH A $50 VOLT METER AND HARD WORK. COMPONENTS HAVE TO BE ACCESSED TO TEST THEM PROPERLY. WE PERFORM DIAGNOSTICS BY THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER'S SHOP MANUAL, UNFORTUNATLEY THESE TEST DO NOT TAKE INTO ACOUNT THE COST OF MAN HOURS TO THE SHOP OR BILLED HOURS TO THE CUSTOMER. I FEEL THAT IT IS COUNTER PRODUCTIVE TO CALL EVERYTIME I NEED TO TAKE A PANEL OFF OR TEST A WIRE, THIS WOULD RUN COST THROUGH THE ROOF ON EVERY REPAIR. IT IS UNFORTUNATLEY JUST PART OF WHAT WE DO IN THIS BUSINESS, AND IT IS SOMETHING THAT IS HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHEN IT COMES TIME TO PAY THE BILL. I PERSONALLY PERFORMED DIAGNOSTICS ON THIS VAN AND REMOVED THE REAR QUATER PANEL TO ACCES MOTOR DRIVE AND INSPECT MECHANICAL DRIVE. I ALSO HAD TO REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL WITH THE DOOR STUCK IN THE CLOSED POSITION, WHICH IS NOT EASY TO SAY THE LEAST. I REMOVED THE TRACK HARNESS FROM THE DOOR AND LOAD TESTED ALL THE CIRCUITS INDIVIUALY NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND IN THE HARNESS. THE PROBLEM WAS THEN ISOLATED AND A SOLUTION WAS SUGGESTED, AND TURNED DOWN. WE THEN RETURNED THE CAR BACK TO ITS ORGINAL CONDITION READY FOR THE CUSTOMER TO PICK UP. WE ALSO DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED THE POWER OUTLET THAT WAS INOPERATIVE TO THE FRONT ACC POWER SUPPLY. ALL OF THIS WAS BILLED TO THE CUSTOMER AT A FRACTION OF THE TIME WE HAD WORKED ON THE VEHICLE IN AN EFFORT TO OFFSET OUR LABOR COST AND STILL PROVIDE THE CUSTOMER WITH A FAIR PRICE. WE HOPE YOU FIND A SHOP THAT CAN BETTER MEET YOU NEEDS, AND AGAIN SORRY FOR ANY MISUNDERSTANING.
