Took a total of maybe seven workdays. Were very prompt in arriving. I was very pleased with Martin Electric.

My house was built in the early 1970's in that period of time when aluminum wiring was being used in new construction. Since insurance companies have decided that aluminum wiring poses a risk that they are not willing to insure in many cases, it is difficult to find an insurer who will write a policy and hence difficult to sell a house with aluminum wiring. I had been thinking of this for a long time and had heard absolute horror stories of massive damage to dry wall and dissatisfied customers after these rewire jobs. Recently a friend of mine had Jim Martin Electric rewire her aluminum wired house and she had only wonderful things to say about her experience and the crew that worked at her house. Mr. Martin himself came to give me an estimate. It arrived promptly, as promised, and while it may not have been the lowest bid, I'm of the opinion that in most cases one gets what one pays for.
I'm very glad I chose Mr. Martin's company. They started on time, came when they said they would, did a great job of keeping damage to walls to an absolute minimum and doing a creditable job of cleaning up each day before they left. There weren't many hiccups in this job; some minor damage which was unavoidable was repaired very promptly and to my satisfaction. Craig and Jeremy, the crew at my house, were hard working, friendly and respectful of my property. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jim Martin Electric to anyone who is contemplating rewiring their home.
