James Deverman Lawn Care

I found this guy through a Valpak ad for "Good Man Thomas", the ad states "Licensed and insured, local company, quality work, Professional Service". I originally hired this company to cut my business grass and trim. I would have to call occasionally to have them come out to cut the grass when it got long and they had not appeared, not to annoying though. Then I made the mistake of having them work on my home's lawn. It was then I found that this guy Jimmy, the owner is basically a sham artist and a pathological liar. His statements of the work to be completed, mow, rake, install mulch, prune two small tree limbs, install a rock pathway, were never completed in the 6 weeks since he started the project. Repeated phone calls and text messages, were one excuse after another, and when he did show up on occasion, very little was done. He never cleaned up after himself or the one worker I saw, left dirt, leaves, and gravel in my driveway, left his tools laying around in my yard for extended periods of days to weeks. During the last week a new company showed up to install the rock pathway, this company, allegedally a friend of Jimmy's, Carlos told me he had never met Jimmy before, and was not his friend, by the way he did do execllent work installed the pathway, even though I found out the stone were the cheapest concrete rock around. I even found where they had blown the leaves up under my house, to avoid removing them, guess they though I'd never look there. Don't ever hire this guy or his company, if you do, never pay them anything until the work is completed to your satisfaction.
