My name is Scott Thompson, Certified Professional Home Inspector with Gulf State Home Inspections. I am an experienced and dedicated home inspector who has spent many years perfecting his craft as a home inspector. I have had years of construction and home inspection experience that helps me to inspect your home thoroughly and to provide you with a comprehensive home inspection report. Your home inspection is an important step in one of the biggest decisions that most people ever make in life. That is why I use every bit of energy and knowledge I have to give you the best information possible. It also helps that I am a local home inspector. I know the homes here. I have inspected them, worked on them, I understand how they operate, how the weather wears on them, and I understand their idiosyncrasies. Florida is a different market than other states. With home owners insurance on the rise it is imperative that your inspector be educated in proper forms needed to ensure a smooth transaction. We can also provide Wind Mitigation Inspections and a 4 Point Inspections as stand alone inspections with out the purchase of a home inspection. Both these inspections are quickly becoming the norm in this area and should be considered when hiring your home inspector. Scott did an absolute amazing job doing the inspection of our new home! He was early on the appointment day, he was extremely thorough. He explained everything in terms that were easy to understand and answered all my questions! He had the report back to me in less than 24 hours!! Highly recommend!!

The arrived on time, took their time and were very through. The report was great, enough detail but not wordy. I have had others drown me with words, this report was to the point with pictures of area of concerns. I was in VA, and working long distance with them was much better than I expected. My realtor was also impressed by their work. They kept in touch, and answered all questions. I would hire again, with pleasure.

It went very well. Scott was very thorough with his inspection and explained everything to me that needed to be fixed. I inquired as to what needed to be fixed immediately and what could wait and he went over that with me. Once the repairs were made Scott came out to do a reinspection to make sure everything was done correctly.
