Aggreed on a showing time and date. Travelled from out of state and was notified showing postponed until late that day due to showing other Donovan properties. Killen advised me that I should wait 5 hours. I went to property and performed performed a visual of outside and viewed many visual problems with the doors entering the home had lock boxes and no storm doors. The property had poor maintenance outside and was not landscaped surrounded by sand and bricks. I. Left property disgusted and went straight to airport to return home. Poor management. I will not be doing business with them. PRICE WAS very cheap $550.00 a catch that I bought. False representation for sure. neighborhood watch is needed. The yard is rundown and neglected. Not safe environment.

Would not recommend doing business with them. With the Covid-19 pandemic, you would think that Donovan would get on board with virtual tours, but they refuse to give me a virtual tour to rent a home stating that they require you view the home in person. I am retired Army and have known multiple people buy a home based on a virtual tour - before Covid-19! About two hours after Colleen telling me they would not let me rent the house with a virtual tour, I called back and left a voicemail asking that if I made the 16 hour round trip drive just to view the house if she would give me priority first on signing the lease - 2 days later and still no call. I have called back and left two more voicemails and nothing. The owner did not return my voicemail or email from 4 days ago explaining my situation and asking that he consider letting me rent via virtual tour instead of their "mandatory" in person showing.

The contract fell through due to misrepresentation of property, but their client unethically claimed all of our earnest money through trickery; when the contract deadline was extended from 10 days to 12, the right to inspect was not extended, unknown to buyer.. Seller mispreresented property as good, then said she did not know about problems. The Donovan agent encouraged client to keep our money, which she did. Ever had that awful feeling when you realize you have had something that belonged to you stolen? Dealing with this company was exactly like that.

I would like to inform Donovan realty of the maintenance requested in the past that has been delayed and or have not been remedied in a timely manner. This issue seems to be common with this realty company and I would like to shed light on it. For example: During the first few weeks of moving in my closet shelf collapsed under a small amount of pressure. After reporting it to Donovan realty it took over 2 weeks to have the issue remedied and only due to persistent calling on my behalf. On Thursday, May 1st 2014 Pensacola experienced a big storm followed by a flooding. During the storm a friend an I noticed water pouring profusely through the window seals of the entire living and dining areas soaking the electronics that I have near. As of now the long term damage is a blown HDMI socket on my 50'' livingroom television. I tried contacting emergency maintenancevia the Donovan realty phone number (850)432-6104 and entering the extension during that time to leave a message with no luck. When the maintenance extension is entered an error was given followed by an immediate hangup. A few days after the flood water cleared I received a call from Donovan realty concerning any damages due to the storm. At that time I expressed my issues and the receptionist informed me that I will be contacted by maintenance soon to have it fixed. On Thursday, May 15th 2014 I called during business hours and left a voice message. The answering machine informed me that I will be contacted during the next business day. I also tried the emergency maintenance extension and still no luck. On Monday, May 19th 2014 I called Donovan realty and a receptionist answered. I mention my concerns with the past maintenance issues. She informs me that my issue is not a high priority and the last time she checked the emergency maintenance extension it worked. When I asked her when shall I expect maintenance to resolve my issue she replied "I don't know". The conversation ended immediately after. I have expressed issues of the condo not being weather stripped when I immediately moved in but I completed the maintenance on my own since the realty company showed no concern that air easily flowed through every exterior door with ease. I have taken pictures and I will continue to record the short/longterm issues. The lack or seal on the windows will cause mold, water damage, small bug infestation, and extreme lack of insulation from heat and air conditioning causing utility bills to sky rocket. Dovonan Realty finally remdied the issue in early July 2014. I've left voice messages asking for Marty Donovan's attention on me buying a house with no reply. I've also called the office and left messages over 30 days prior to moving and no one replied. I talked to a person 1 week before I closed on my new place and I informed the lady who answered of my situation. I told her that I will CONTINUE TO PAY RENT until I find someone to TAKE OVER my lease. I also made it clear to her that I AM NOT trying to sublet the apartment and I was not trying to default on the lease. Donovan realty received my check for November's rent on time. I finally spoke with Marty Donovan on Friday 31, October 2014 about me buying a house. I informed him that I AM NOT trying to sublet nor default on rent AND that I'm trying to find someone to take over the place using proper methods. Marty Donovan replied "I'm not allowing you to do that" and "you need to turn in your keys so we can find the right person to move in that place". That day, associates of Donovan Realty removed my "For Rent" signs and changed the locks on the front and back door. I paid my cleaning lady, who uses a lock box to enter my apartment, $200 to thoroughly clean the apartment while I was at work. When she arrived she could not get in due to the locks being changed. I still had personal items in the apartment.
