architect
+ -1 moreSent an architect to my house to tell me next to nothing could be done... Kind of crushing, considering he was only the second architect who was giving me a consultation. He gave me many excuses regarding zoning and even said he hated being a "dream crusher." I called Dalrymple because I knew they built a nice house close by and would be familiar with my area. I can understand why they didn't want to take on my project; the architect said they were very busy. I just wish he would've come out with that rather than telling me it's impossible to do anything with my property. I called the zoning office the next day and they said I wouldn't even need a variance and that I had lots of building area. I'm sure he's a great architect, (I drive by a great house he built every day,) he just could have been more professional.
