Compass Solar Energy

After 5 months of partial solar production and constant system alerts, I now have no solar production and a solution does not seem to be in sight.  The system has been service on multiple occasions and one of the inverters was replaced, but nothing has resolved my problems. I am not sure why you are unable to fix the issues. The service people tend to show up unannounced and after a day of work tell me the system is working or they will return. Neither has been the case. I'm paying the loan for the system and FPL for power, since my system is way underperforming.

We worked with Compass in advance of our solar panel installation to get information to apply for a Gulf Power solar rebate.  They provided all the necessary information we needed for the application and were very instrumental in making sure we knew how and when to apply. 







They were very professional and businesslike.  They showed up when promised and kept us informed throughout the process.  The solar panels are up, working and we couldn't be more pleased.  We had absolutely no problems and would highly recommend Compass to others.

The guys showed up as promised and stayed until work was completed. They cleaned up after themselves and took the time to explain everything to me at the end of the very long day. Good company to work with.

Technical work was outstanding.  Installers were also very helpful in showing me how to operate the systems.  Customer service was below my expectations for a major purchase such as this.  I had to call multiple times to get an install schedule.  Initial cost estimate left out an additional expense.  When I was given the estimate, it was nearly 100% in error.  The sales representative was unable to adequately explain the advantages of using solar power.  Total time from contract signing to system turn-on was just under 3 months.

The sales representative was knowledgeable and a delight to work with. The crew showed up on time and completed everything as planned. They anticipated the future installation of other solar systems to ensure everything would go as planned. If you are interested in buying solar systems, you won't be disappointed in Compass Solar Energy.

The entire experience with Compass Solar was very satisfying. The sales representative was knowledgeable and provided everything requested and promptly modified the contract with special requests that I made. He also was a good advocate with management who related any questions or concerns on my part. As it turns out the concerns I had about roof attachments, etc. were needless. On the day of installation, two experienced technicians arrived at the appointed time and mounted the 8 solar panels firmly to the roof with excellent hardware that I observed has NO chance of leaking after such a professional installation job. The panels themselves are Canadian Solar which I have had on a previous system and may be one of the few that really have a meaningful 25 year warranty. Also, two electricians from Compass arrived at the same time and made a very clean installation of the inverter and wiring which looked very professional and allowed for a flawless startup of the system. All the Compass employees were very patient with my questions and requests, and for the money the system installed was a great investment which will provide all the power my home needs for 25 years. What more could one ask! I highly recommend this company and the high quality products they use.

I'm very impressed with them. I'm happy with their service and response to make sure everything went right and is right. I'm very happy with them. They finished it in two days. They're organized. Their equipment's clean. Their people are polite and nice. Their technicians are knowledgeable. Their price is comparable with what we found. I think it's fair.

I was pleased, from estimate to finished installation. Had a small issue with one of their workers who was sent out with an upgrade to my system. The owner responded in person, checking his work and addressed all my issues. We have now been using the system for over three years with absolutly no problems. More hot water than I can use in the summer. Will need some supplemental heat in the winter. Only major problem, and not a reflection on Compass at all, was with the Florida State Rebate Program. They ran out of money and I never got the full rebate promised by the state. Gulf Power did come thru with their rebate, quickly and as promised. If you have been thinking of solar hot water, you will not be dissapointed.

It only took two days for the installation. They were real professional and cleaned up after themselves. The only slow part was getting the meter installed but that was not with them. We were very pleased with them. The job they did was very, very good. There were incentives regarding the price. The quality was very good. We could get them on the phone right away. We would use them again.

Everything they said, they did. They were very mannerly and professional. Price is before the state and tax breaks.
