I found Gary with Coastal Concrete on Angie's List. It was my first time to use Angie's List service so I was a little bit nervous not going with word of mouth. He was the only person to call me back the day I left a message. I knew the approximate size and he gave me a rough quote over the phone then he came out the next day to give me an official quote after seeing the area. His quote was within our price range and he said he it would take him about 2 weeks to get to us. Exactly 2 weeks later he called and started the job promptly as he said he would. He did a good job laying out the patio in the shape I wanted and he answered all my questions. My husband and I are very pleased with the quality of work he did. Gary is very meticulous in his work. I found out when he was at our house that he has been doing concrete work for 30+ years.
We originally wanted the patio scored and stained but the quotes we got from local recommendations and from contractors I found on the internet were out of our budget because it was a small patio. Gary will score it for you but he does not stain concrete. We decided to do it ourselves.
I highly recommend Gary because he was very professional, always returned calls, was prompt, and did great work.

Mr. Pearce gave us a start date and an estimated completion date. He asked that we keep in mind inclimate weather may play a role and of course it did, but nothing to his control. He showed up when he said and worked with his crew consistantly until completion. I have never seen a construction crew quite like this one. They are all quite spoken hard workers. The days of rain Gary would call me to let me know they were not coming. He never left me hanging on any project. It took almost 2 weeks for the foundation because of the rain and even though he had to reset all boards once and dig out footers a couple of times, he did not charge extra for the added rain work he had to do. The slab was perfect, flat and so smooth I told him I hated to put the tile over it!.He's very quiet, but he chuckled when I told him that. Just cannot say enough good about the job. Something I was dreading turned out to be such a pleasure.
