I showed up five minutes early and found the inspector was already at the property and started to walk the outside of the property. He was very knowledgeable and had an established relationship with the realtor. He made it very clear what he was doing, why, and what level of concern I should have for any of the deficiencies found.

Overall, John did a good job. He was very easy to get in touch with by phone and got an estimate to us very quickly. We used John based on Angie's list reviews as the home inspectors recommended to us by our friends were completely booked up that week. John was able to squeeze us in on a Friday during the week that we really wanted the home inspection done.
He arrived about 15 minutes early (we did too) and got to work very promptly on the outside inspection while we waited for our realtor to get there. He explained any issues he was finding with the house and what he was doing along the way.  He worked very quickly and efficiently and provided us with a detailed report with pictures.
The reasons we did not give John all A's was that his price was a little higher than others (general inspection 365 + 85 for wind mitigation; organic microbial/mold screening included). Additionally, he seemed a little bit scattered when the termite inspector was present at the same time and seemed to focus a little too much on finding things the termite inspector hadn't at one point, and we needed to ask him to check an area over.
Our realtor thought he did a good job and said he would add him to the list of inspectors that he gives to his clients (note that John does not in any way work for a realtor and this was our realtor's first time hearing of him).
John got us the report very quickly (by Monday after a Friday inspection) and was very prompt about replying to any questions. We feel happy with our home inspection.

The inspection was conducted because we live in another state, and had not seen it in person. We were relying on them to provide an honest, objective assessment, fully expecting there would be items that needed attention. However, the inspector FAILED to notice the Air conditioner coils were covered with mold, and water had been leaking from the A/C for sometime, saturating the platform underneath it, and dripping onto the hot water heater below.  There was standing water on the concrete pad under the air conditioner unit. This water was leaking into the half-bath, under the vanity which was completely rotted out at the base, and floor of the vanity.  They also FAILED to report an accurate picture of the kitchen, where water has also leaked under the cabinets from the A/C unit. While he reported that the screws anchoring the dishwasher were missing, he failed to mention that there was NO solid surface to screw them into as the particle board under the laminate counter was completely degraded, with similar damage around the kitchen sink which had been sealed with RTV. While he noted that there were problems with the GFIC in the bathrooms, he did not note that they were wired incorrectly from the day they were installed.  Additionally, the bathtub in the master bath has a major leak, as whenever someone takes a bath, it rains in the living room. We are looking at approximate $15000.00 worth of Repairs, after an inspection report that cited NO major defects, and stated that the condo was in "good condition for its age".  Exceedingly disappointed, and while some of this may have been beyond the scope of a cursory inspection,  the 2" growth of mold under the A/C platform was an obvious and MAJOR problem.  The problems were all detected within the first day after closing.  The company was quick to preform the inspection, arrived on time and charged an average price, but on the important components of their job they failed miserably. I would not hire them again.

Curtis and Patrick inspected a townhome I was considering purchasing.  They were very thorough in their inspection and went over the house: windows, doors, appliances, outlets, attic, roof, everything.  I was given a written report and Curtis went over it with me to answer any questions I might have.'
They were very punctual, courteous, and professional.  I will use them again.
