Most experienced professionals can get an entire trenchless pipe lining project done in a single day, and smaller projects might take as little as three to four hours. If your technician uses machinery to dig the two access points, the job will likely be faster, whereas manual digging will take a bit longer and could push the project above six hours.

Check your basement floor. There’s usually a covered panel in the floor. The valve could also be near a sump pump. If you don’t have a basement, look near your water meter. You may see a rectangular or round cover, which is often clear (allowing you to easily see inside), over the valve.

Flushing the toilet only to realize it’s clogged can cause anxiety. To avoid a clogged toilet, use less toilet paper. If you notice that the toilet is flushing and refilling slower than usual, you can use a plunger to clear clogs in the S-trap. If that doesn’t work, call a plumber to check your system and possibly clear the drain lines.

Although linear drains allow water to flow quickly and efficiently, they tend to clog more easily than traditional drains. Linear drains are flush with the shower floor, allowing soap scum and hair to potentially build up. To remove thick and hard limescale from your toilet, use a mixture of vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda, and scrub with a metal scrubbing brush.
