Shawn was very professional, personable and met us promptly at the condo and even let us stay while he worked. He was very good about answering our questions and giving us several tips and suggestions for maintaining the various systems in the unit and general upkeep/maintenance recommendations to keep the unit in good condition. His report was very detailed, including pictures, and was sent to us just a few hours after he completed the inspection. We were very impressed with his services.

Shawn has a very professional system. You can make a reservation for an inspection on his website, and he responds quickly with a confirmation. Prior to the inspection, I received two email reminders of the time/date, and to make sure the utilities were on. I was present for part of the time, and he did a very thorough job. He also honored a special request from my clients, for documentation of the condition of the storm shutters so that they could get a better rate on their homeowner's insurance. The report he sent is very professionally and clearly laid out, and reflected the thoroughness of his inspection. He then follows up with a thank-you email. Shawn was very thorough and provided quick detailed feedback on the condition of the house. He made himself available to follow up on repairs that the seller reported. Very satisfied with the service.

When my husband and I arrived at the property for the inspection, he was early and had started his inspection on the exterior of the home. I was initially impressed with him because he was early and he explained his findings to both of us in a professional and detail oriented manner. However, my husband had to leave during the 3-4 hour long inspection. After my husband left, the provider mostly stopped giving explanations and did not take the same initiative to point out problem spots as he had with my husband. The inspection report was proptly delivered to us on time the following day. After reading the report my husband was not impressed with the assessment of the roof. Otherwise, the report was good.

Items inspected included heating/cooling components; electrical service outlets, lighting, and appliances; plumbing and bathroom and kitchen fixtures, and property structural integrity. He also provided us recommendations on those deficiencies he found which require professional repair as well as tips on smaller jobs we can perform ourselves. His written report of inspection of superior. We highly recommend Norris Property Inspections to anyone needing these services.

He did a very professional job

This was difficult time for my wife and I because after making a thorough investigation of the available properties for us to purchase and invest in we decide on this property but needed to have it inspected by someone competent and with whom we could feel comfortable. We do not live in the area and we relied on our real-estate agent for recommendations. He introduced us, via email, to Shawn Norris. Shawn was very attentive to our needs and the fact that we were remote from the area. He met our timing needs and continuously kept us informed through out his inspection which helped keep our anxiety down during this closing period. He also helped us a lot by keeping our agent informed, with our permission, so it reduced the lag time of information flowing during the closing period. Shawn's report was detailed, thorough and timely which were all the things that were important to us in this process. My only regret is that I could not meet him in person so I could shake his hand and say thanks, it was a very good job! I do recommend Shawn for a home, apartment or condo inspection.
