I initially met with Elcon's sales representative David who was very thorough and spent the necessary time to answer all of my questions regarding the installation and maintenance of a whole house generator. We had more than one meeting and each time he was readily available both in person and on the phone to review both the nature of the projected work to be performed as well as any additional questions that may have arisen. He explained that the majority to time related to the entire project was obtaining the necessary permitting from my local municipality and that once that was obtained their installation would only take a few weeks. In fact my municipality took a long time approving the permitting and to the credit of Elcon, and especially Brenda, they kept on top of that process and kept me abreast of what was taking place and why. There was one small bump in the process resulting my from municipalities requirements regarding the installation of a larger than average propane tank which would add to the cost of the project. Brenda and I were able to work together and solved that problem to our mutual satisfaction. The installation itself was seamless. The actual installers were extremely professional and respected my property and my personal concerns regarding exotic fruit trees that were in the area of both the propane tank as well as the generator itself. They were prepared to repair, if necessary, any sprinkler lines that may need to be relocated or damaged as a result of the excavation for the propane tank. The electrician who was handling my project, Carlos, was a pleasure to work with and kept me informed at every step of what he was doing, why he was doing it and was very cooperative in coordinating his work around my schedule for the few minutes when it would be necessary to have an electrical disruption due to the installation of the transfer switch. The system is now totally installed and turns on automatically once a week for a few minutes to "exercise" the generator. The generator itself is very quiet and unless I am standing in its immediate area I would not be aware it is running. Overall I was very pleased with the work performed by Elcon from the initial meeting with their sales representative David to the very prompt and helpful Brenda to the professional installers.

Poor responsiveness and lack of interest in general. Also poorly organized.

The electrician, Mark Tucker, was punctual, very friendly, and most importantly, very knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions. Everything looks and works great. I will highly recommend them in the future.

Wonderful. Technician was on time, nice and knowledgeable. He got the job done and was in and out of here. Only thing is, he did not vacuum up one of the work areas.

Overall, it was a great experience - got all the problems fixed quickly and the price was reasonable.

The electrician, Clinton, showed up on time. He was polite and professional. Clinton examined the instructions for the fan. Upon request he showed me how to know that the electrical box in the ceiling was the correct type for a fan. He worked rapidly and was neat. No pieces of wire or insulation were left on the floor. Clinton explained the operation of the fan's remote control unit and made sure I understood the correct operation of the fan. Throughout he was completely professional, friendly, and answered my questions without making me feel dumb. I will definitely use Elcon again for any electrical work I need done.

Discovered at Homeowners Association Meeting that the circuit breaker installed at my property had the breakers that didn't function properly under certain conditions and were found to be a fire hazard. As a result, some insurance companies were not insuring properties until the breakers were replaced. Took pro-active approach and called 3 electrical companies. Elcon was on Angieslist the other two were not. Elcon proposed the best price to perform the service and had an excellent rating. Contracted with Elcon to perform services. Beginning with the call to the office to set up a date for an estimate and thru the completion of the task, everything was handled very well. The company communicated well during the entire process. I have recommended Elcon to others.

He was very professional and courteous. The work was done quickly and correctly.

My pool pump motor would not turn on and my pool man replaced the pump motor with a new one but it still would not work. He recommended that I call an electrician. I made an appointment with Elcon's office for today. In the time frame that was promised I was called and told that the repairman Adam would be arriving in 30 minutes which he did. He performed a preliminary check on the pool motor electrical line "in" and determined the line needed to be replaced and that was why the motor would not run. He politely told me that the pool man should have checked for power to the old motor before replacing what was probably a good motor to begin with. He replaced the line "in" and the motor ran the pump. However in checking out the system he noted that it was only using 110V when it should be using 220V for improved efficiency and longer motor life. He soon found that the pool pump motor had been wired incorrectly when the house and pool were originally built in 1995. He rewired the electrical box and circuitry to correct the problem and now the motor is running on 220 and as intended for optimal life and performance. Adam was very professional and polite and did an excellent job. He represented Elcon in a very fine manner and I would recommend this Company and Adam anytime.

I found them on Angie's List. I thought that the price was very reasonable. The work was very good and I would call them again. I was very happy with them.

We are professional traders, focusing on S&P derivatives. Our computers must operate reliably, and the electrical needs were exceeded in our 2nd floor trading room. A short circuit in the wall wiring almost sparked a fire. New wiring had to be run from the fuse box, with individual 15-amp fuses for each of 5 computers, plus additional outlets for peripherals, lighting, etc. At the same time, the trading room had to be operational. External wiring from other sources kept us up and running while Gus Pollero did his excellent, often very difficult work. He performed every task professionally, effectively, and faultlessly.I give him and Elcon Electric my very highest recommendation.

This is a first rate company. They're a pleasure to deal with and very well organized. Luis arrived exactly on time and did a very professional job. He's clearly very expert and experienced and was very thorough in clean up. I would absolutely use this company again. With work like this at a very fair price, why would I look elsewhere.

The company gave me an approximate estimate when I called. She also advised that she could send someone over fairly soon and he could provide a better estimate (with no obligation), once he saw exactly what had to be done.The tech called a few minutes later and advised he'd be over within the hour. He arrived about 45 minutes later. I showed him the two jobs we had (replace a faulty outlet and mount two outdoor lamps). He said he it would not be a problem to get the work done in an hour or less. While chatting, we found out that we were both from the same area in the northeast.Within 45 minutes the work was completed and tested without any problems. The tech was great to work with and I would use Elcon again, happily.

I had a very good experience with Elcon Electric. I hired them based on the reviews from Angies list, I saw they had a lot of good reviews. I was quoted a price of $125 per labor plus the cost of the part $155. They were very responsive and quick. John Degnan came out on time, he was very professional and efficient. He had to replace the electric meter terminals at the meter panel in a condo. John worked very well under a lot of pressure because to do the work he had to disconnect the main and leave 1/2 of the building without electricity, about 50 condos, so he had to work fast, he did all this under 1 hour. Johns work was later inspected by the City of Davie electrical inspector and passed with flying colors. I was also able to get a $25 discount from an Angie list coupon. I highly recommend this company for their quality of work, fairness in price and good field electricians. They are not out to get rich on your problem or abuse the customer, I give them a AAA.

He was very, very good. They were clean, professional and knowledgeable. Some guys will come in and start guessing but Elcon knew exactly what they were doing.

Luis was the electrician who came to my home. He was excellent!! He was punctual, told me exactly what was needed, and did a fabulous job. He was very professional and we will be using him again to install a doorbell!!

I called them in to address concerns my property inspector informed me of prior to buying a home built in the 1940's. it sounded like a real horror story as well as a potentially dangerous situation where nothing was built to code. I received a detailed, nearly 2 hour visit to give me a cost estimate. I hired them to do the job and it was done very well and to the estimated cost.
