Small jobs welcome

"Robert and his assistant where great. Spent 6.5 hours cleaning my tile floors. I have 3000 sqft of tile floors with black grout. Grout had gone an ash grey, they were able to bring it back to it's original color. Bravo gentlemen!!!"

"We stayed in the house during the entire project, and although they cover everything and have machines that leave minimum dust, I would have preferred leaving somewhere else, just because you have to be moving stuff from one room to the other. I advise fellow homeowners to clean up the house from furniture and go to another place to make their work easier and faster. the crew is very responsible and experienced. I never had to point out anything and something I really liked is that they are organized while working and clean at the end of the day. The business owner, Hector, is a good man, very understanding, and we will definitely be doing business with them again. Hardwood Floors are a masterpiece and the staircase is fabulous."

"We own a vacation rental in Panama City Beach. In this business, it is extremely hard to find reasonably priced and thorough cleaning and property management services. We rely on the reviews we receive from guests to get new and repeat bookings. Since we have hired Cleaning Up the 850, we have received so many wonderful reviews from our guests praising the cleanliness of the unit! We have even had guests leave handwritten notes expressing how much they appreciate the cleanliness of the unit as well as the special touches that this company provides. In addition to cleaning services, I know I can trust Cleaning Up the 850 to assist me with all of the little, unexpected issues that come up with operating a short term rental. It’s really just a huge weight off of my shoulders! Look no further for a company to help you with cleaning and managing your short term rental!"

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Both bleach and vinegar are effective at killing and removing moss from surfaces like driveways. Bleach tends to have a longer-lasting effect, potentially keeping moss away for up to a year, whereas vinegar may require more frequent applications. However, vinegar is a non-chemical option that is gentler on the environment. A key consideration is the surface you are treating, as both substances can stain or discolor certain paver materials. It is recommended to test the solution on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't cause damage.

Vinegar, bleach, chlorine, barley straw, and a bevy of dedicated algaecides can kill algae, which is the easy part. Preventing algae from returning can be a struggle for some homeowners, but keeping the patio well-maintained and clean is a good first step.

Clean the outside of your home at least once a year. If you live in an area with salty sea air, high levels of pollen, or an abundance of leaves in the fall, it's helpful to wash it at least two times a year. Frequent cleanings will allow you to remove debris and pests before they flourish into infestations, or cause mold and mildew.

While it’s not completely necessary for them to operate properly, as the occasional rainfall can rinse away dirt and debris, manually cleaning solar panels from time to time can keep them operating more efficiently.

Dirt, debris, pollen, and bird droppings can collect on the surface of the panels. Depending on the amount of solar panels you have, this can add up over time, so set a regular maintenance schedule. Moreover, if you live in a climate with little to no rainfall, more debris can accumulate, causing inefficiencies that would be clear in your electricity bill.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.
