Bottom Line....... if they don't get it fixed this time, I'll take my chances with a Big Box Store........ and never visit Bill Smith again......after all you only replace appliances every 8-10 years..... it is now Saturday, last service call was Wednesday and still NO CALL to me from Bill Smith, if I want to find out what is going on I have to call the tenant....... I guess the store doesn't have a manager as that requested call hasn't come either...... I hesitated to post this, I did the draft and saved it in hopes Bill Smith would call etc. Today I determined that it was hopeless........ More than likely I'll get a reply to this, an apology and a weak explanation and excuse, I'm going to listen to it, Yes I realize this was only a $300 purchase, and fortunately this amount of money will neither make me or break me, I'm not wealthy, but not living paycheck to paycheck thank God. However, there are many people in the community that can not afford to take a $300 hit. There are many widows, who would patiently wait, then finally give up, there are many minorities with large families who just accept this.
Description of Work: Eight months ago I purchased a new wall mounted microwave from Bill Smith in Bonita Springs FL. I paid for the microwave with a credit card, but they would only accept cash for the installation. The whole deal cost about $300. Then almost three weeks ago, my tenant, a 72 year old lady, calls and tells me the microwave is broken. I call Bill Smith, get directed to service and 2-3 days later a repairman goes out. He works on the machine and gets it running, five minutes after he leaves, it's broken again. I call service who advises they have to order special parts, and was informed this would take about 8-10 days, finally two men show up, they advise the tenant that the first guy has been fired. These two work on the microwave and after and hour and a half, decide to order new parts. In between the first and second call, I talk with service, an overworked lady named Doreen, who advises if the thing can't be fixed, she will talk to the manufacturer. I think how long is that going to take. Then I ask about a counter top micro for a loaner, she informs me Bill Smith doesn't do this. Then I asked what would happen if this were a refrigerator? She says I would have to wait. After the second failed repair, I call the store to talk to a manager, twice, leave my name and number. No return call.
