Hydroshield of Delmarva is a local, family owned and operated business that applies protective coatings to hard to keep clean surfaces such as granite and other natural stones, glass, tile, grout, porcelain, and quartz. Hydroshield's proprietary formula bonds to these surfaces, creating a barrier that is easy to clean. We can treat brand new surfaces to keep them looking new for years and we can also restore older surfaces to new and treat them.

"Excellent. They cleaned the white tile in our shower prior to the installation of a new full glass door installed. Denise did a fabulous job. Tile looks brand new! Then they came back and sealed the new shower door. Looking great. Very professional; helpful; honest, friendly and did great work. I highly recommend this company and when I get 4 new toilets, I plan to have them come back and seal them (I didn't even know that could be done until I talked to Denise about it). We have very hard water which leaves awful brown stains. Can't wait to get new ones."

Buffing and Polishing questions, answered by experts

If you would rather use vinegar to clean the stone fireplace instead of dish soap, this mixture should work fine. Vinegar is slightly acidic, however, so it may etch some kinds of stone without quite a bit of diluting. For a stone fireplace, dilute it to about one cup of vinegar for every gallon of hot water. It’s a smart idea to test the diluted mixture in an inconspicuous area of the fireplace and watch for etching. You can use vinegar to clean quite a few different items around your home, and it’s especially good at removing stains.

Quartz is an engineered stone offering a nonporous surface. Quartzite is a natural stone composed of sandstone, making it highly resistant to heat. Additionally, quartz is lower maintenance, while quartzite often requires sealing and more careful upkeep.

Cracks, chips, stains, and worn-out sealant are common issues requiring repair.

Maintenance includes regular cleaning with appropriate products, periodic sealing to protect against staining and wear, and addressing minor issues before they escalate.

The costs range from $3 to $10 per square foot, depending on the stone type, level of damage, and labor intensity required.
