"I hired Santos, the owner of Diaz Home remodel based on Angie?s ratings. I had about 50k of work done. A few months after work was completed I noticed the paint on the second floor hallway ceiling started to peal and crack, then noticed it on the first floor ceiling. This was clearly bad prep work on the painters he hired. I?ve tried to reach out to him but he has not responded, my next move is small claims court. I?d say stay clear. Will update this if he tries to make it right. But I?m not holding my breath."

There are many benefits to painting a garage floor, especially if you use an epoxy floor coating. In general, paint makes your garage easier to clean. Paint—specifically epoxy-based paint—creates a barrier that helps you easily mop up the mess before it stains or is difficult to remove.

Chalk paint can be applied without sanding first. Keep in mind that while there are a lot of chalk paint color options available, there aren’t as many choices as latex or oil-based paint.

You can also learn how to paint furniture without sanding using a liquid deglosser, sometimes referred to as liquid sandpaper. This can remove any old paint, gloss, or varnish, without the need to manually sand. Apply the deglosser using a cloth, then wait for the chemical to penetrate through the surface. Once it soaks through, you should be able to wipe away the residue with a towel. 

You should always use a primer before painting over wallpaper to help the paint adhere correctly and get a good finish. Newer paint cans often come with an “easy pour” spout with a twist lid. These can be tricky to open, but the key is to grip the spout cover with your fingers and twist it counter-clockwise. There should be a raised ridge in the middle to make it easy to grab. For more standard twist lids, you can try prying the lid off by turning it with your hands, as you would a jar, or running it under warm water.
