"Perfectly. Matt Taylor, owner, was professional, courteous and thorough. He was extremely prompt in getting in touch with me when I contacted him through Angie's List and in setting up and conducting a free in-home estimate of the work I wanted done. While doing so I learned of a number of other cleaning services that he was able to perform and was delighted as I have had a lot of difficulty finding a business to do these deep cleaning jobs. And, so I was delighted about the number for things I actually needed to have done and which his business could take care of for me. Service date was set up promptly and at a time convenient for me. I recommend this business without reservation!"

"I am new to CC’s Housecleaning, as my housecleaning retired after 25 years. Ceila , the owner worked hard the first month to get my home up to her standards of cleaning. I am very pleased with her methods of cleaning. She supplies her products and vacuum. I now only require a monthly cleaning, with my own minimal cleaning in between. Thank you"

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You can use baking soda to start getting the urine odor out of your mattress. Baking soda is highly absorbent and soaks up odors, so it will not only draw the urine out of your mattress but it can also get to work fighting the lingering smell. You can also use an enzymatic cleaner to break down the urine to make it easier to clean. Just keep in mind that you need to remove enzymatic cleaners from the mattress after use, as leaving them on could be dangerous.

While a biohazard cleanup sounds like a scary process, knowing what to expect can help ease your concerns and set you up for success. It’s good to note that more than one professional might be needed depending on your situation, but that will be determined during the assessment. What you can expect during a home biohazard cleanup is the following:

  • Assessment: The first step in this process is for a biohazard cleanup professional to assess the damage. They create a report that includes the biohazard safety level, the needed damage cleanup, and the time it should take to complete the project.

  • Setup: The cleanup professional prepares the site to prevent cross-contamination and reduce toxicity risk. This process can include tarping and creating decontamination zones.

  • Removal of surface contamination: Any contaminated materials are removed from the area, starting with large materials followed by small ones. The professional can assess any floor-related damage once everything is removed from the site.

  • Salvaging items: The biohazard cleanup professionals assess which items can be saved and which are contaminated beyond the point of saving. Those deemed unsafe will be disposed of immediately.

  • Waste disposal: The next step is carefully disposing of the hazardous waste. Your professional will place the contaminated items in specific containers to keep the contamination from spreading.

  • Disinfection: The house will be disinfected and odor-neutralized. Even more minor details, like light switches and bulbs, will be disinfected so that they do not recontaminate the area in the future.

  • Restoration: Once the decontamination is complete, the last step is to restore the home. This includes repairing the damage to flooring, walls, or even the home's foundation.

You should hire a leaf removal company if you don’t have the time or tools to keep up with the leaves falling in your yard. Hiring leaf removal professionals will free up your time to take care of other household priorities, plus they will clear your lawn more quickly and efficiently than using DIY methods. Be sure to contact leaf removal companies at the end of summer to secure a scheduled visit in the fall, and shop around to get a few estimates and compare pricing.

You can use the baking soda and vinegar mixture as described above, or you can use an oven cleaner you find at a hardware or big-box store. Just follow the label’s cleaning instructions and keep cleaners away from coils and other heating elements.

Yes, a dirty oven can affect its temperature accuracy and distribution. Food debris, spills, and built-up grease on the oven walls and racks can disrupt the heat flow, causing uneven heating and potential temperature fluctuations. This can result in undercooked or overcooked dishes. Over time, a dirty oven can malfunction or even cease working. Pick up any large pieces that may have fallen off a tray (like French fries), prevent anything burning on the element, and run cleaning cycles on a regular basis.
