"Dave did an exceptional job tinting my Home windows. He took the time to explain the different tint levels, offered recommendations on what would look best, and completed the job quickly. The windows offer street privacy now while not being able to notice the difference from inside. Overall could not have been happier with the end result."

"Absolutely love it!!! We replaced tub curtains with sliding glass doors. Work and quality are superb. It looks gorgeous. The price was very reasonable. Jose from Glazier helped us with the customization and design of our doors, explained everything in detail. We are very grateful to him and his crew; they are very professional. I will be remodeling another bathroom, and I am defenetly calling Jose from Glazier for my next project. Thanks Glazier, my bathtub looks amazing!!!"

"Sales process was good, courteous and helpful. Installation instructions were easy to follow. Did have a small issue with one sensor which was easily solved with a call. Control panel is easy to use and well constructed. Phone app is the best part. Not a big fan of a 2 year contract and the monthly rate feels a little high, but definitely a decent system. I had emailed them a question pertaining installing on double hung windows and never received a reply, but other than that their phone support prior to that was good."

"The job ws to take 1 to 1 and a half days. The weather did play a part in delays, but it is now 9 days from the first day of work, and the job isn't completed.
Initially I was very pleased with their work.  But, there was a problem with the storm door (a big air hole and the handle was upside down) the owner/supervisor indicated he wasn't happy with and would come back to fix.  Before he returned, I went around and opened all the windows.  Some were too hard to hard to open, the worse being in the bay window which were very difficult.  I reviewed the problems with the owner and he agreed 5 of the windows were too hard and he will fix/replace them.  Was supposed to come back to fix, and cancelled 2 days.  One of us lost a 1/2 day of work and he didn't show until late afternoon, and didn't do any work.  The next day got a call at 10 AM in the morning running late ( was supposed to be here at 9 AM), then finally at 1:30 he called & said couldn't come today as he got tied up fixing another clin.  Will come 3 days from now.  I spoke to the owner who subcontracted the window/door installation and we are both very upset with then't door.  I will update in the future.  Our house has been half packed up to keep our belongs safe from breakage and no curtains have been able to be put up until the windows are completed.  Yesterday we did put up the curtains as the owner of the company that subcontracted Murk said put the curtains up and they will deal with taking them down and putting them back up when they come and do the work.

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

If you have bubble wrap lying around the house and you don’t care about the odd look, taping bubble wrap over a window is a very affordable way to insulate it. Another inexpensive option for insulating windows is to add new caulk around the glass. This step quickly cuts down on air drafts for older windows, and a tube of caulk only costs a few dollars. Adding plastic shrink film around the glass is another cost-effective option. You can purchase a kit of plastic film for a few dollars per window.

Often, window film won’t stick if the glass is too dirty; dust and debris can prevent the adhesive from working. Make sure to clean the glass thoroughly before installing the window film. Low-quality film, which may have a weaker adhesive, might also be the cause of your window film’s inability to stick.

Window security film has a few key benefits that make it an enticing home improvement:

  • It’s much more affordable than shatterproof windows or hurricane windows.

  • It improves your home’s energy efficiency and can save money on heating and cooling bills.

  • It makes it harder to break into your home.

  • It helps prevent dangerous shattered glass after an impact.

  • You can tint it to provide additional protection from the sunlight.

ENERGY STAR®-certified windows are the most energy-efficient windows on the market. This certification means that the window meets strict efficiency guidelines set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency. While they might cost more upfront, they can save you money on your energy bills in the long run. ENERGY STAR®-certified windows lower household energy bills by an average of 12% annually.

While you need heat to peel back window film, the tint will often leave behind adhesive residue. You can use chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol or acetone to remove the residue, though hardware stores sell specialized solutions for this purpose as well. You can also use soapy water in a pinch!
