"Blue Bucket does a great job and is consistent. They come to my home every two weeks and clean the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, and change the bedding. They are pretty fast and communication is great-- Leila gets back to me so quickly when I text her. The first time they came, they did a deep clean and it was like a brand new house! I don't know where I would be without them."

"I can’t recommend Lifestyle Housekeeping enough! I’ve used them at least six times now and I’ve been extremely happy every single time. They do such a great job and are always thorough, reliable and professional. Every time they leave, my house looks and feels amazing. They pay attention to the little things and you can tell they actually care about doing a good job. After having them clean my house this many times, I can confidently say they’re consistent too, which is really important to me. I know when they’re coming that my house is going to be cleaned properly and I don’t have to worry about it. If you’re looking for a cleaning company you can actually trust and that does a great job every time, I absolutely recommend Lifestyle Housekeeping. Definitely five stars from me!"

Range Hoods questions, answered by experts

Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

Ensures safe electrical connections and proper venting, improving kitchen air quality.

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.
