Electric Doctor

Fantastic. He responded quickly to my call, was punctual and did a fantastic job. I often worry when purchasing deals that more is automatically tacked on to your bill, however that was not the case. He did not charge any more than the coupon I purchased. That was a refreshing surprise.

The gentleman that came to our home was very friendly and easy to work with. We purchased electrical work for a certain time period and when he finished early, my husband ran to the store to purchase more fixtures to replace so he stayed and replaced additional fixtures until our time was finished. I would call this company again to complete any work we need done.

It starting raining very hard, they put up a tarp and kept working. They were very professional and finished in one day. Worked about a 13 hour day in order to complete the job. Great company. Would highly recommend them.

Called Electric Doctor during a kitchen remodel and so glad I did. We were changing the whole look of the house and wanted to replace an old curved track light to new recessed lighting and pendants. Jimmie was great, he was able to give me a quote over the phone for the base work and we ended up adding new lighting throughout the house and upgraded to LED. We also went ahead and had them install new wiring for a ceiling fan and had them change all the switches to the touch-on Maestro switches. We also replaced our old plasma tv with a new LED HDTV and had Electric Doctor mount and wire for new HDMI. Electric Doctor was prompt, efficient, clean, and did a great job helping to make the house look like new. I will use them again for future projects and highly recommend Electric Doctor to anyone.

I called in March and "Jimmy" answered the phone. Jimmy provided a few estimates over the phone, but after some discussion, my husband and I decided to schedule an on-site estimate. I called Jimmy right back and we scheduled an appointment for April 11th between 12-2p. The Saturday morning of the appointment, I realized that no one had called to confirm our appointment. I called Electric Doctor at 9:30a and left a voice mail confirming our appointment for between noon and 2p, and to please call back if this is not the case. Called again around 1:45p leaving the same message. At 2:05p, my cell phone rang. It was Jimmy who gave a quick apology and said he just checked his phone. He stated that he could still come by, but it wouldn't be for another 2 hours. We passed on that chance since we had already waited around and had another appointment planned for later in the afternoon. Disappointing, especially since Electric Doctor was recommended by a family member.

Workers were punctual and professional. Worked quickly and cleaned up mess after they were done. Excellent service!

The company representative showed up on time and did the work quickly. In installing the under-cabinet lights an additional cable was needed. The representative ordered the part and came back for a second trip to finish the job and did not charge an additional trip charge. He explained the situation to me so I didn't have to wonder what was going on. He cleaned up after his work. I was very pleased with this service and will call Lighting Dr. again.

Craig arrived on time and introduced himself. He had all my requests listed on his work order and went right to work. As he went through the projects, he would ask questions to make sure it was installed just the way I wanted. I appreciate when a contractor comes to me to ensure they are installing the project the way I want versus just making the decisions on their own. All the work was completed beyond my satisfaction. I have added Electric Doctor to my preferred list of contractors and will use them for any future needs.

Fabulous deal through Angie's list and what a wonderful company! My tech repairman was dressed professionally and very clean cut and arrived a few minutes early from the scheduled appointment time! He fixed dimmer switches and even replaced my front porch patio lights and at no charge-I thought that was very thoughtful. He walked me through all the work that was competed and he finished in under 2 hours. I liked this company so much that I am scheduling another appointment for some ceiling fan installations. I feel very confident in recommending this company to anyone who is in need of electrical work.

I called and left a message regarding my problem at noon on a busy Friday. Jimmy returned my call within minutes, and explained that either he or Craig would likely be able to get to my house between 3 and 5 that day. Craig called at about 2:30 and said he could be over shortly. The problem was solved by 3:15. I really needed this to happen the way it did, and will recommend Electric Doctor to everyone I can.

We used them probably a half a dozen times. They're a good company. It's a small family company. They're just good people. Their price is probably the best price as anybody in that area is going to find.

Tyler was on time and called ahead to make sure the time was convenient. He pleasantly answered all my questions, explained what he would do and got right to work. He worked quickly and non-stop and got the work done in good time. He left the work area very neat. The cost was actually lower than the estimate, which was a nice surprise.I couldn't have asked for a better experience and would definitely use them for future electrical work. I'm delighted!

Everything turned out very well. They were very professional and they were very fast. They got the work done perfectly. Scheduling was very easy and they were responsive to my phone calls. They were prompt, friendly, and they cleaned up well after themselves.

Jimmie was prompt, very professional and did an outstanding job for us. He is such a nice guy and a very careful worker, protecting surfaces, etc. We absolutely will contact Electric Doctor first for any future work within the scope of their business.

I appreciated their work. What I wasn't happy about was the fact that when they got here they came with two people and so the whole deal kind of changed. I know electrical work is expensive but I did call them and told them that we had a foyer light and they didn't tell us there was an extra charge for that. I called and specifically told them that. So I kind of felt like there were a lot of add-ons and I was just really disappointed in that because that was the whole point of me calling ahead and I specifically put all that in the description. They said, "Okay, we'll bring the extra ladder" and they never said there was an extra cost and they had to bring an extra person to do that. So basically they charged us for two people. So it was just a little frustrating. The total bill was $250. The work was good. I just was hoping to get all the work we wanted done that day. I knew it was going to take a while. We had outside lights and then an interior light. We had a couple of things to do, but I was just hoping that maybe we could actually pay them extra to get all the work done. So I wasn't able to get all the lights I wanted put up that day because of that kind of miscommunication.

It worked out great. They did additional work, so I had to pay $60 more.

Extremely helpful. Responded promptly and did the work the following day. Did all the wok in the 1 and 1/2 hours, we purchased on the Angie's list deal. Went out of his way to get the work done in a very short period of time. Explained what he did and why. Courteous, efficient and professional! Would recommend without hesitation.

I was remodeling our bathroom and our new jet tub required new dedicated circuits for the heater and jets. I called Electric Doctor and Jimmie looked at the jet tub and informed me that, in addition to the new circuits, I needed to have a bond wire installed for the jet tub motor to the plumbing in the bath for safety. I had no idea the tub motor needed to be bonded so that was great information. Also, my panel didn't have space for the new circuits I needed. I had a Federal Pacific panel and only 125 amps so they recommended upgrading to a new panel that was rated 200 amps to accommodate the new circuits, as well as to have a reliable panel. They gave me a price for the entire job that was reasonable and they said all their work is guaranteed and I scheduled the work immediately. They pulled a permit and replaced my panel in one day and I was surprised the power was only off for about 4 hours, they worked very quickly and efficiently. The next day they installed a new conduit to my basement and installed the new circuits, GFI outlets and bond wire for the tub. The electrical inspection also happened that second day and the breaker panel job passed without a problem and the inspector complimented their work while I walked him through the house. The electrical work for the bathroom remodel happened so quickly that I was able to stay on schedule. Electric Doctor was very professional, were very knowledgeable and the work is high quality. I will be using them again for my other projects in the house.

We called Electric Doctor again to help us out with mounting a new HDTV and connecting our Sonos equipment we received over the holidays. They were very responsive and Jimmy handled the work within the week we called and got everything working perfectly. We needed some speakers installed on our patio to connect to our Sonos and they said they could get the speakers and they sold us some KEF speakers that sound amazing. They also had a mount to use for our HDTV and added a surge protected outlet behind the HDTV, along with a new HDMI cable. The work is exceptional and the HDTV on the wall looks great. They put down tarps to keep everything clean and vacuumed up after they were done. They are always very professional and polite, this is the 4th time we've hired Electric Doctor and we always recommend them to our friends.

I had some lights and outlets stop working right before having family in town for the holidays. After searching around and making a few calls and getting no answer, I spoke with Jimmy at Electric Doctor. He was very knowledgeable on the phone and although it sounded on the phone as though they were very busy, he said he could get me on the schedule that day. I was so excited and I asked him how much the repair would cost and he said the problem I am having is generally repaired for $99. Jimmy was the electrician who showed up, same guy who answered the phone and he was in uniform. He started testing my power and found the problem within about 10 minutes and had it fixed within 15! I was so happy, we had our power back. I have since had them back to install an AppleTV and install a ceiling fan. Very professional company that went out of their way to help me out even though they were busy. Highly recommended!
