He told me that I could expect the estimate the following day and that it would be e-mailed. I have never heard back from him. I did contact him by e-mail once. Reliability and responsiveness are two traits highly valued by me in a contractor, and I have since found someone else to do the work.
Description of Work: I needed an electrical outlet installed in my basement.

 + 0 moreEverything went very smoothly, we scheduled them quickly, they showed up on time. There were two electricians (actually one guy was an apprentice) who came to the house. They got to work quickly and finished the entire job in about an hour and a half. We were impressed with their professionalism. We also have a young dog and the guys showed interest in him. I always have a good feeling about a dog lover who is working in our house. These guys did everything right.
Description of Work: Electric Doctor came and took down an old ceiling fan and put up a new one with lights on it. The fan in our family room is approximately 11-12 feet high. They also put a dual switch on the wall, one for the fan and one for the lights.

Jimmy arrived on time,promptly diagnosed the problem (a loose neutral in one of the outlets) and fixed it in very short order for substantially less than I was expected. Highly recommended.

 + -1 moreEDI showed up on time and performed the work they agreed to do with a minimum amount of disruption. Craig was vey professional in all phases of our dealings. I would not hesitate to use EDI again.
Description of Work: Angie's list coupon for a whole house surge protector for $169. On the description of the big deal it did discuss the need for enough space in the panel box for the surge protector. EDI called the same day I purchased the big deal and came out to do the work that day. When they came out they determined there was not enough space in the panel box to install the surge protector. They recommended an additional box to house some circuits from the main box so that there would be room in the main box to house the surge protector. This they said they would do for an additional $195.

Description of Work: We had our house lighting changed out on the main level and basement. Jim and another friendly person came on time, explained everything they would be doing and working on. They also gave me an estimate on how long the project would take. They do excellent work. I have used this company in the past and the work is great, never had any problems. He helped me set up my home audio as well. I would definitely recommend. Jim is very friendly and patient which is a plus!
