The initial meeting was delayed due to car trouble but once he got there, Paul was able to give me an estimate on the spot. The work was scheduled for 2/26 at 8am. The wood chipper was needing repair so they were a little late. But once they arrived, they worked continuously. 3 very pleasant young guys. They did a good job and were professional. They did a really thorough job of cleaning up my back yard. My only suggestion would be, park the wood chipper more in front of the paying client's house. It was a little in front of my neighbor's house and wood chips were getting in their yard. I would definitely use them again. I have even recommended them to a co-worker already.

Paul was terrific! He responded to our immediate need for help with a quick response. Despite a number of weather delays (not their fault!), they got the work done quickly and professionally. They were respectful of both our property and that of our neighbors.

Donovan Arborist did a great job removing an approximately 35' Siberian Elm from behind my house, including having the stump ground down by a subcontractor. The service was quick, safe, and professionally done. I received bids from a handful of contractors, and Donovan Arborist had the best price. I would definitely recommend them for any tree removal jobs.

It was a pleasure doing business with Donovan Arborists. They are very professional and efficient. Paul Donovan came right out to give us a bid, as soon as we agreed on that I bought the deal from Angie's List, saving us $100. I wasn't sure how that would work, but it was very smooth. The crew came on the day scheduled, quickly took out the trees without any issues, and left the area clean. The next day the stump grinder (Stump Removal & Daughters, Chris Ames) came out and finished the job. We paid the him separately from Donovan. We weren't aware of that until that day, but it all worked out fine, his price was included in the original quote so it was just a matter of writing two checks. We recently received a thank you post card from Chris and his family, it was surprising and very much appreciated. This was a very successful project and we are very happy.

Donovan Arborists scheduled us for an estimate within a very reasonable amount of time. Paul Donovan, the owner, impressed us as an honest and experienced arborist as he met with us to review our needs. He was a real pleasure to work with and also provided us with a very detailed description and estimate before leaving as well as a date for the service. He and his crew arrived promptly and worked diligently to complete the project within the time frame scheduled. They did everything as described and provided excellent clean-up. We will definitely be contacting Donovan Arborists for future projects.

Provider was quick and courteous. He cleaned up afterwards. Would definitely use again.

I left 3 messages over 3 weeks and never received a call back. Not sure if this company is either in business or too busy for new business.

Paul and his crew showed up right on time, which I really appreciate. Paul cut down 2 large cottonwood trees (one of which had a large limb hanging out over our roof) while his crew remained on the ground doing the ground work, cutting up limbs and removing debris as they went. Everything was done in just slightly over 4 hours which surprised me because one estimate I received put the job at almost 2 days. They also raked the area and cleaned up all the small twigs, sidewalks, etc. before leaving. Chris Ames called the following day to schedule the stump grinding. Chris went above and beyond by grinding out a couple larger roots that trailed into the lawn a ways, he moved the mulch from the stump grinding into my flower beds for me, and he did a great job of cleaning up the area before he left. I wouldn't hesitate to either use this company again or recommend them to others. Additionally, their estimate was more reasonable than most others I obtained.

Working with Donovan Arborists was a breeze. Had a great promotion on Angie's list that they gladly applied to our service. He was delayed one day due to a complication on another job, but was always very responsive and communicated any changes promptly and clearly. Even cut our tree to firewood length and to length for using branches as tent poles... very happy to accommodate all of our unusual requests and dealt with a tree that had a difficult position IN a fence! Very reasonably priced.

They were prompt, priced-right and very professional. I will use them again if I need a tree removed. Great company!

Paul and his crew were awesome, and I couldn’t have picked a better company to take down my tree! They had great communication, were able to come quickly, did the work well, cleaned up after themselves, and even did a couple of extra things that they weren’t obligated to do. All in all, I would highly recommend Donovan Arborists!

It went great. Paul Donovan and his crew arrived right on time. They were very professional and had cleanup and work finished quickly. They even protected my tulips so they wouldn't get crushed by the tree branches My neighbor was impressed and had them do removal and pruning while they were here as well. I won't hesitate recommending them.

Mr. Donovan called me minutes after signing up for his special on Angie's List. He indicated that he would call me on Monday morning to schedule a time to come over on Monday to give me a quote. I received a phone call late Monday from Mr. Donovan indicating that he wouldn't make it that day due to snow. We scheduled for him to come the next day in the afternoon. When he arrived he was able to quickly give me a quote and schedule an appointment to do the work the very next day. Donovan Arborists cut down the tree and prepped the box elder for stump grinding--and they did an excellent job. The stump grinder that Mr. Donovan hired called me in the afternoon and indicated that he would not be able to make it that day, and wondered could come first thing in the morning. The overall job performed by Donovan Arborists was really excellent.

Everything went very well! It was very cold that day and they still made it out on time to complete the job.

He and his crew came out and planted 5 trees in one afternoon. They did a fantastic job and have even followed up on the health of the trees coming up on a year after planting. We are very satisfied and will call them for all our future tree needs.

Exceptionally well, overall. Competent, professional, and friendly service provided by Paul (Donovan) and his "crew" - Phillip and Nester. Five hours spent doing a thorough pruning of six trees, followed by a meticulous clean-up. My highest recommendation.

Great company. I purchased the $99 Angie List Deal for $200 worth of tree service. I was called right away to set up an appointment to see what needed to be done. He arrived on time for the appointment and I was shocked when he told me the removal of the tree stump would leave me some money left over and asked what else I would like done. He suggested trimming up the evergreen in the front yard and the two trees next to the driveway. The appointment was made for a later date and they arrived as scheduled and did a fantastic job. When they left the yard was cleaned up and the trees looked great. We plan to use them again to plant a new tree where the tree stump was removed.

We had gotten estimates on trimming that tree by other arborists. With the Angie's list deal it cost us $150 for a $350 job. It was scheduled once by Donovan, and then postponed on my suggestion because of the cold blast we had come through. They still ended up doing the work on a very cold day, but the cold didn't seem to make them hurry at all. They did a thorough job of trimming and cleanup. Kudos to that crew for a job well done in that awful weather! Can't wait to see how it looks in the spring when it start to bloom and full of its foliage. Only gave a B on responsiveness only because after my initial contact with Paul returns calls were a little delayed by the woman he told me to go through.

The crew arrived on time and went to work right away. When they first arrived, they reviewed with us all the work that they would do, according to the list and prices given to us by the owner when he inspected our property prior to the day the work was to be completed. They were very friendly, professional, efficient, and hard-working. I was impressed by their safety measures for the crew members who climbed up into our 40+ foot tall trees. They completely cleaned up all the trash that resulted from their work and hauled it away. When they were finished, they walked around our yard with us to show us what they had achieved and asked if it met our approval. We are very pleased with their work ethic and their work and will definitely call on them in the future when we need their services.

We were contacted immediately to schedule a consultation. Paul Donovan came out and walked our property with me to inspect our trees and give his recommendations. We appreciated his knowledge about trees (and shrubs) and his concern with utilizing environmentally safe methods for protecting trees from pests and diseases. He advised us to stop having our spruces sprayed as they are healthy, and reassured us our ash tree is safe from both ash borer and sawfly, demonstrating how we can inspect for such pests in the future. We hired him and his crew to trim 3 spruce, 2 crabapples, the ash tree and one hugely overgrown juniper. Not only did they prune out dead limbs, but also gave attention to trimming for a natural yet beautiful shape--most notably the juniper which has been quite transformed! They showed up on time, worked all through the afternoon and finished before dark, doing a great job of cleanup afterwards. Not only are we impressed with the job they did, but also pleasantly shocked at the cost--far less than we had paid for similar services by two other tree companies in the past. We will be entrusting the care of our trees to Paul Donovan and his amazing crew from this point on.

Paul and his crew trimmed and shaped 10 trees on our property - 3 locusts, 4 maples, an aspen, a spruce, and a raintree. The trees look great. Paul is passionate about trees! Jessie, Paul's wife, was persistent in her attempts to get in touch with me to set up a work schedule. They are a very good team.
