4/4/12: I purchased the tree trimming service by DLC Arbor Services LLC on AngiesList website which offered "Big Deal". This was a great oppotunity to get my over-grown, messy Austrian Pine trees in shape. 4/5/12: I called the company and left a message about 1:30 p.m. asking to call me so I can get an appointment. Jason called me about 2:45 p.m. I was impressed by his quick response. He gave me an appointment for 4/10/12 when he will come out here and look at the trees. I asked him for an afternoon appointment, and he agreed. 4/10/12: Jason arrived right on time at 1:20 p.m. We discussed what to be done. He wrote a detailed work order and gave me a copy. He said he'll call me in 3 weeks and give me an appointment for actual work which will be another week thereafter. I knew about the 4-week wait time because AngiesList website did mention that DLC was very busy and there could be a 4-week wait period, which was fine with me. Jason was very responsive, pleasant and courteous. 5/11/12: Ken and his assistant arrived at 10:50 a.m., right on time, and finished the job at noon. They did a GREAT job. The trees look so much better now. The crew followed the instructions on the work order precisely. And, the result was exactly what I wanted. The crew did thorough cleanup also. Ken and his guy were very efficient, pleasant and kind. Overall, this was a woderful and very satisfyingl experience with DLC Arbor Services and its people. THANK YOU ANGIE'S LIST!!

Efficient and professional. Jason came out to give me a quote. mailed it to me and performed the work in a timely manner. very pleased with them.

Went very well from start of calling them to finish of tree work -- in fact, probably saved the tree!

This crew did a great job. They were willing to work with me on what I wanted done. They were friendly, efficient and professional. They knew what they were doing and they did it well. They did a very good job of getting everything picked up and made sure I approved of their work. The entire process from the bid to the finished work was very professional. Highly recommended.

It was a big job and they trimmed all the trees @ my house. They worked on it all day on it and cleaned up nicely when they were done.

Because this was an Angie's list deal, the firm was very busy, so scheduling was a bit tricky. But, when we did get in touch with the arborist, he said it would be best to wait until our tree was fully leafed-out, which put us at ease about getting the job done later. The crew was very curteous and knowledgeable. They obviously love what they do and wanted to make us happy.

The tree people showed up on time and cut down branches that could be a problem.They also ran branches threw a chipper unit and cleaned up work area in yard and on street.I was very satisfied with the work done and professional job done. DLC Arbor, showed up when they said they would and performed the work to spec. The job was not a simple job, so I was very impressed with the work done and the clean-up. This was a BIG job, working with ~30 foot upright juniper trees and ~40 foot evergreens. The juniper hedge was overgrown, had never been taken care of, and is about 70 feet across - so a lot of stuff to clear out. DLC left that part of my yard looking like they had never been there! Awesome job on the juniper, highly recommend. The only thing was not extremely happy with was all of the detritus from the evergreens left in the rock borders around them. I thought this could have been cleaned up a little better. Overall, very good though.

Professional and fast workers, and punctual. However, the deal was $200 worth of tree service for $99, but they added $125 for a total estimate of $325 ($224 cost to me). Expensive for one mugo pine. They also left alot of chips from the ground stump.

I explained what I wanted over the phone to the owner. I was not initially called when worker arrived, so no opportunity for me to communicate while they were here. After the first time, the tree was still very leggy and looked like a crazy Dr Seuss tree. They had not done what I requested and it looked like an amateur had done it. They also sent a bill for 200 when the deal was 100. I was feeling like "Oh god, another bad deal through Angie's list." However, when I called the owner and he apologized and said the bill was automatic and he was sorry for the alarm it may have caused. He said he would send someone out immediately and make it right. He said he'd send the same worker out. I was concerned and asked if he could do good work. The owner said he was quite capable and it would be a good job, I do not know why the job was initially so poor. He came out and let me know when he got here. The tree was done right. Both the owner and the worker responded appropriately the second time They did not try to make me feel guilty for wanting a job done right. I gave them a B because of their eventual attitude, they never argued with me, and the job was good in the end.

I was dissapointed with the overall experience with this company. It is unfortunate and I hate to leave bad reviews. Especially on a company that has such good reviews on here. As mentioned above I started this process off by making a stupid mistake and telling them I had purchased the $99 for $200 worth of service before they gave me the estimate. But now that I think about it they probably have record of addresses that purchased these offers. Anyway, they came about $175 more than 2 other reputable companies in the area..kind of interesting that my deal I purchased was in the same amount. But neither here nor their I spend $100 on this offer and I had to go with them. I get a voicemail message on my home line from the owner saying that they availability for the next day and to call him. I called him and got his voicemail asking him what times they would be at home and how long it would take. I work from home and I have planned phone conference calls, so I needed to plan my day. I never received a call back that day and at 7:30am the next morning a big truck with a bunch of guys showed up at my house. I spoke withe guys that showed up and told them I never received a call back and was not expecting them. They were very very nice guys and offerred to come back another day. I declined their offer and just altered my work schedule a tad so I can just get the service done. The trees looked good, so I have no complaints on the overall tree trimming. But the guys did leave the gate open to my backyard and had I not went into the backyard to catch it, my 2 dogs would have been roaming the neighborhood. So yea, it was not the greatest experience for me and after it was all said and done I was baffled by how high of a rating they got on Angie's list. Maybe it was just my luck..I dont know. I did write them an email about my dissastisfaction and they did apologize to me. I felt compelled to leave a review about my experience since I use Angie's list often and rely on others reviews. Bottom line is..the tree trimming itself was good..the rest of my experience..not so much.

We called and made appointment for arborist to visit; arborist gave advice and estimate; we made appointment for the workers to come and trim thetrees and bushes. We were given sufficient notice so as to advise our neighbors that the trimmingwould take place,etc.

I have a very small back yard and the stump is on a hill by the fence. I was in the process of building a rock wall around my patio so things in the back yard were hard to get around. The worker was very respectful and was able to maneuver into the spot to drill the stump. I had cleaned out the rocks around the stump, but unknown to me there were additional rocks underground that he hit while drilling out the stump. I felt bad that I hadn't found all the rocks, but he was nice about it and took out the rocks as he would find them. I know the ground in my back yard was h****** his equipment, but he got the job done, quickly and professionally. He also provided me with advice where and how to plant another tree. I would like recommend DLC and will use them again.

DLC was able to squeeze in my job quickly, and the quality of the trimming was excellent. They cleaned up very well and charged exactly what was estimated.

Jason was punctual, professional and very helpful. He suggested another type of tree for me to replace the aspen that we had to remove. All his work was done professionally and in a courteous manner.

The first effort left several branches touching wires. With the second visit, the branches were removed in a sloppy way. A branch was stubbed, whis is bad. But the stubbing of the branch was very clumsy. (It looks hacked in several places.) I have a ladder and pruning shears, and I could have done a better job than this!! So I wish I had not used this company.

The estimate was done very soon after I contacted DLC. Once I gave them the go ahead there was a bit of a wait due to so many people scheduled ahead of me. It was worth the wait. The job was done thoroughly, the clean up was done well, and the crew was very professional.

We had a little trouble getting scheduled but Jason was available by phone and we worked to get the job scheduled. The crew showed up on time and completed the job without difficulty. They cleaned up after themselves.

We just bought a house and there were some seriously overgrown shrubs and a tree with a limb resting on the house. I got DLC off of angie's list. Jason came out right away and gave me an estimate. He seemed knowledgeable. He didn't try to sell me on stuff I didn't want or need. He told me they were busy and it might be a couple weeks before they could perform the work. I was fine with that. He called about a week later and scheduled the work. The workers showed up on time and did a great job. They were extremely polite. Everything was cleaned up. I am happy with the service and would call them again. I do not know about the price because I did not call around for other estimates.

We couldn't be happier with this experience. Excellent job done. When he came to give the estimate, he came right away, was friendly and efficient. He was very thorough and got the job done with no problems. He accomplished everything he came to do. He was clean and neat.

I bought the Angie's list coupon and contacted DLC because I had two pine trees that were brown on top, and a dead main branch in my clump aspen. I wanted to know if the pine trees had pine beetles, or if something else was going on with my trees. This was done sometime in the spring. I do not have an exact date, although I entered March 1st, as a date is required, as I did not have to be home for the assessment, therefore, I didn't have it written in my calendar. DLC came out while I was at work, as agreed, and called and told me my pine trees were ok, and I could cut the brown tops off and cut down the dead Aspen branch. What? That is what I hired a tree service to do. I called DLC back and asked if there was enough money left on the coupon to have this done. DLC said they would check and get back to me. I never heard from them. Based on this, I wouldn't call them for service again.

They arrived within fifteen minutes of the time I was told and did the entire job in one day. They brought in a second crew several hours after the work was started. They did an excellent job, were courteous and the foreman on the job made sure I was happy with what they did. They cleaned up the yard fairly well considering the size of the job and did an excellent job of cleaning up the driveway and street where they had used the tree shredder. I was very pleased with the work and will be having them come back to remove a cottonless cottonwood tree this winter.

Great experience over all. Our trees hadn't been trimmed in years. We scheduled the service, they came out and did the work over several days. The yard looks GREAT!

Although they were slow getting to me, they did a great job once they came. They said after running the Angies List Big Deal, they got swamped. The worker that showed up was very efficient and got the job done in about 30 min. by himself. He was knowledgable and careful not to let the branches fall and damage the fence or other branches.
