I called Swartz Electric because all of my garage and outdoor outlets were dead. The man who answered the phone talked me through a GFCI problem and saved me from having to take off work and pay for a service call. I will call Swartz Electric if I have any electrical issues.

Swartz Electric was OUTSTANDING in their professionalism, integrity, and transparency in tackling the problem. They responded quickly to my early morning Saturday call and then walked me through several troubleshooting steps over the phone to potentially resolve the problem and save money. Because of the nature of the likely problem, they also encouraged me to contact the power company to see if it was on their side of the meter (unfortunately it wasn't). After the over-the-phone troubleshooting didn't resolve the problem, the technician came to the house and quickly diagnosed that the problem was a broken electrical line underground (between my meter which is on the property line with my neighbor and the breaker box in the house). Fixing the break would be easy, but they openly shared that finding the break precisely would be tricky with their current equipment. Instead of tearing up my yard and concrete driveway hunting for the break, they recommended several large electrical companies in town they knew had the right equipment. Furthermore, due to the nature of the problem, they waived the weekend service call fee--an unexpected and very helpful gesture considering the expenses facing us for the fix. Due to Swartz Electric's helpfulness over the phone, quick and accurate response and diagnosis of the problem, integrity in revealing that other companies are better suited in fixing the problem, and generosity, I will definitely call upon them for our future electrical needs. They are a professional and class act!

The job went very well. The personnel were punctual and professional. They took the time to discuss want we wanted done and give advice on what options were best. They also took the time to answer all our questions. The job had originally been scheduled to install 2 circuits. We requested the third circuit after the job started. They agreed to the change in the scope of the job with no issues (besides the obvious charge for the work). They handled all of the scheduling for service disconnect/reconnect and handled the electrical inspection.

The owner Greg Swartz, came out to our home to give us an estimate and talk to us about what we wanted and how we plan to use the additional power lines he would be running. He gave us options and was flexible to changes after they started working. They always wore booties on their shoes when entering my house and removed them when they stepped outside. They cleaned up as they worked and were very polite in their communication. As a woman it is important to me that contractors who work in my house are pleasant and non-threatening. Greg and his crew were very respectful to the point of asking if they could play their music very softly. I agreed and never heard it. They were very careful about how much drywall they had to cut and made very little mess. They were very efficient and were done very quickly. If they took a lunch break I never saw it. It seemed like someone was working constantly. They didn't smoke or use off language. Everyone on the crew was great to work with. The price was much less then the price quoted by Wire Nut. I have a dog and they worked around her wanting to be petted. : ) I was very happy with the price, service and the people who preformed the service. I would absolutely call them again or recommend them if the need arises. The only problem with their service was the price was so reasonable that I had to stop myself from adding a longer list of things for them to do! Honestly, they are great and If you use them I think you will agree, they are the best value and service in town. The job passed inspection on the first try and there were no problems. When I move to a new town I look for a trustworthy, electrician, plumber, mechanic, doctor and dentist. I can say I have found a wonderful electrician. Thanks Greg.

Greg from Swartz Electric recently wired my house in Monument for a hot tub we were installing. From the estimate (where he discovered previous work not to code) to completion of the job, the work was excellent. He and his employees were professional and friendly. I especially appreciated his ethical approach and honesty! I couldn’t be happier with the end result and will gladly refer him to friends, and call him for any future work of my own.

Greg Swartz came out at the start of the job and spent quite some time talking with me about what I wanted to do and what we ended up doing was much less expensive than my original plan. Robert was here for several days to do the work, was very professional, punctual, tidy, friendly and was a good problem-solver. He found and showed me several potential disasters i.e. burned wires in the rafters and burned landscape lights in the scrub. Diane, who works in the office and takes care of the billing and scheduling was very easy to work with and emailed me everything for my records. They all worked together as a team to get my project completed. We lived in this house almost 8 years and the landscape lights have never worked for more than two weeks at a time but they are beautiful now and energy efficient and safe for the first time, thanks to Swartz Electric.

Everything went as expected.

In the process of checking on those, I resolved the problem, saving me the cost of a repair call. To me, that speaks of integrity and a genuine concern for the customer, not just making money.

I have used Swartz Electric with excellent results. They have replaced outdated light switches and traced down electrical problems. They discovered a potentially dangerous situation that, left unchecked, could have caused an explosion and a serious electrical fire. Their employees are very adept at explaining what needs to be done and how best to fix a problem. They are very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend them to anyone for residential or commercial work.

They called before coming and both men were very courteous and professional. They explained everything carefully and gave me an estimate of how long it would take. They cleaned up nicely.

Prompt and qualified service. Two quotes provided on the spot by owner, who has BSEE. Rates compared well with others I received. Service technician, Robert, polite, prompt, qualified. Recommend.

I called Swartz Electric to come and replace the main breaker and circuit breakers as had been recommended by the electrician who worked on a previous house repair last November. The company had record of that recommendation with all of the specific parts info on file and they were able to set up the appointment easily. The electrician, Robert, was punctual and professional throughout the process. In the process of replacing the breakers, he discovered a short that needed to be repaired. ( I had just had a couple of receptacles stop working between the time I set up the appointment and the actual appointment date.) The short was difficult to locate and Robert kept me informed as to what he was finding and not finding and the implications of such. He was very efficient in his work and very respectful of my home as he worked. When he finished, the only way you could tell he had been in my home was that everything was working perfectly.

He really knows his stuff! We had no idea that someone who had the house before us messed with the electric and had put in an additional line that could be dangerous and we did not know this was an issue; we were very fortunate to have found this. Swartz Electric found it and fixed it.

I'm sorry I didn't write this review sooner so I could give the details more accurately, but better late than never. Mr. Swartz came out and gave me an estimate the day after I called. He was very professional and it was obvious he knew what he was talking about. A week later the electrician came out and did the work. He was on time and again, it was obvious he knew exactly what he was doing. The job went quicker than expected so the final cost was less than the estimate by about $50. I'm very pleased with the work, everything that was done has been working perfectly (no blown circuits... yippee!). I will definately call them again should I need any more electrical work done.

I called and set up an appointment for the estimate to occur on a specific date and time, but the provider never arrived at my home. He never called or contacted me in any manner. Be aware, reliability is sketchy!

Called the office and the phone was answered directly by office personnel (Diane) who walked me through the power outages I was having at my home. Very responsive and thorough with her questions. She also explained all the fees upfront, which were very reasonable. She was able to set up an appointment for the 1st time I had available. My appointment was scheduled for 8:30 am. I received a phone call at 8:15 confirming his arrival for 8:30. He was there at 8:30 and the job was completed by 9:30 which was exactly the time estimated. Very efficient, professional and I appreciated that he explained everything as he was fixing it. Felt very safe and comfortable with him in my home. Highly recommend this company.

I won't take up a lot of time and space. Swartz looked at the job to be done, gave a couple of alternative routes to take along with a recommendation and estimate for the service. The company was on time and did a great job.
