Pauls an excellent guy. Calls one day before appointment time to give you a friendly reminder. Answers all questions in the most complete way possible. Only recommends services you only need, and gives you tips on how to maintain your vehicle. My car was less than a month old, but Paul's detailing made it looked much better than when it came out of the dealership. His service and detail of work gives me confidence I am working with a professional.

They arrived at my home exactly at the time specified to detail my Camaro. Paul and his assistant couldn't have been nicer. Both were very professional at all times. It was apparent they genuinely knew everything about detailing by our conversations on the phone and before starting on my Camaro. They left no doubt whatsoever when they finished " Completely Detaling" my Camaro.. Absolutely the very best auto detail ever, bar none. I couldn't be more pleased. LIGHTNING AUTO, BOAT & DETAIL will be the only auto detailing service from this point on for me. I already have my next appointment in six weeks and every six weeks thereafter caring for my Camaro!

Paul and helper arrived on time, completed job as promised at price quoted. Will use again.

I got white spray paint all over my black Prius and Paul was able to remove the paint and get me car back to looking brand new. He is a miracle worker!

I found them through Angie's List and saw all their great ratings. I called and made an appointment for them to detail my 2009 Toyota Prius. They were able to fit me in the next morning which worked out perfectly for my schedule. I had done nothing to the car since I bought it except for complementary car washes when I got my oil changed. The car was frequently parked under trees and had sap all over the outside. The inside was pretty dirty as well including some staining on the passenger seat. They were very prompt and friendly when they came the next morning. The worked on it for right around 3 hours. Afterwords it was perfect inside and out. The car looked like it was brand new right off the lot. It shined and was absolutely smooth to the touch. The inside was great as well clean and fresh. So easy to have someone nice and friendly come to you much nicer then having to drop it off somewhere. They really delivered I would absolutely use them again and recommend to all my friends.

AMAZING; FABULOUS; WONDERFUL. These guys are nothing short of phenomenal. I found them through Angie's List and was impressed by their ratings and by the before and after pictures on their website. Called and made an appointment for them to come and detail my car and my husband's car. Both cars were in bad shape - dirty, scratched, and my car had scrapes and paint transfer on both sides. Plus we are very involved in dog rescue and there were nasty spots and stains all over the interior of both cars and a dog had gotten carsick and thrown up all over my front passenger seat. I was embarrassed to drive either car, and they both smelled bad. After Paul and his assistant were done the cars looked new. I thought I needed body work done on both cars and was dreading the expense, but after Paul was finished it turned out we didn't need any body work at all! Today a friend who has seen my car many times actually didn't recognize it - she complimented me on the beautiful color and asked if I had gotten a new car! To say I'm thrilled is an understatement.

Paul, the owner, is a hands-on kind of guy. He makes the appointments by telephone and does the dirty work along with a helper. The two were punctual. In fact, they arrived 15 min. early. I did not have the engine of my BMW 381i detailed. Still, the whole process from start to finish took a little less than 3 hours. The final product looked amazing! They do excellent work and clean-up after themselves, leaving no mess in the driveway. Their prices are very reasonable, if not on the low side.

Paul and his assistant Lee were scheduled to arrive at approximately 12:00, but they called to say they were running ahead of schedule, and could they start earlier? I agreed, and they arrived at approximately 10:00am. I showed Paul some areas of concern (a few scratches), and they began work right away. It was a scorching hot day, and I brought them some iced water, but they continued working throughout. The job took approximately 2 - 2-1/2 hours. My red Mini was gleaming in the sunshine and the black trim looked fantastic. I don?t think the trim has looked that good since I purchased the car - despite my efforts with Black Wow. Paul showed me the interior where he had cleaned the engine, and it also looked terrific - like a new car. Paul was friendly, and he and Lee did a great job. He gave us a complimentary mug as well as some home grown tomatoes. He also showed me how to apply the wax and buff the car - sometimes I do my own detailing. Driving the car a few days afterwards, it felt great. The windshield was immaculate and the car gleamed. The wax Paul used had a lovely, fruity smell to it, which my husband commented on as he was working out in the garage. My MINI looks and smells great! What more need I say!

I called and the person that answered, Paul, was very friendly and nice. He worked with me to detail my car on my schedule. Paul showed up on time and was upfront about what could and could not be accomplished with my '96 Isuzu Trooper w/ metallic paint. Another detailer could have done "their best" work and left me unsatisfied. Instead Paul explained why spending money to detail the exterior would not be in my best interest. He and his assistant (that arrived just a bit later) did the inside of the car. It was an amazingly good job. My car was a mess with crayon, stains, dog hair and crumbs EVERYWHERE! They got almost everything. I only gave them a B because a couple of pieces of trash overlooked were left in a couple of crevicis. I'm confident if I was there when they completed the job they would have cleaned out the couple items without question and happily, but I left for work as I felt comfortable with their work ethic and trustworthiness. I was not disappointed. Paul informed me ahead of time, that due to the severity of stains in my carpet, the carpet may be pretty wet but he would do his best. I'd need to leave the windows open in order for the carpets to dry without odor, however. I was pleasantly surprised to find pretty dry carpets. Just a bit damp as it would with a job from and detailer. I still left the doors open for a day and carpets were completely dry.

This was a class act from beginning to end. When I called for the initial estimate, Paul returned my call within minutes, was very gracious and helpful, and even waived the transportation fee (we're in silver lake; he's deep in the O.C.) since I agreed to have the service performed on a weekend. He called the day before to confirm, and then showed up early saturday morning for the job... The cars were IMMACULATE when he finished. The Audi literally looked like a BRAND NEW CAR. I have 2 young kids and a dog, so the car needed a lot of love. And it looked GORGEOUS. In fact, I was a bit reticent to take it out of the garage or have my kids ride in it because it was so pristine! And the Land Cruiser, which was a complete mess inside --we had bought it used and I don't think it had ever really been detailed ever--was equally impressive. Clean. Clean. Clean. It was like I had 2 new cars. I called Lightning based on the amazing Angie's List record, and the service exceeded my already-high expecatations. Use this company. The only downside is that it might become a habit!

These guys are artist! They made a ten year old red car look like it was just painted and brand new. They also elimated the heavy dog smell and dark carpet stains. A crew of two showed up on time at 7am on a Saturday morning and performed all work as discussed. They really took their time and exceded my expectations. I highly recommend.

The job took approximately three hours and the end result was fantastic. Would definitely utilize Lightning again for all of our cars.

I can't even begin to you what a FABULOUS job these guys did! I wish everyone in the customer service industry were like Lightning! They were on time, verified the day before, super courteous, did a sparkling job and brought my truck back from death. I would give their number to everyone and have. These guys deserve a special star for their job!

I am a repeat customer and this is my second time using Lightning Auto, Boat & RV detail. I got my car detailed a few months ago and since they did such a fantastic job, I asked them to detail my in-laws cars as a Father's day present. I contacted Lightning Auto, Boat & RV Detail over the phone and scheduled an appt for both cars. I was provided an estimate over the phone for both cars, and received a reminder phone call a day before service. They arrived promptly at 7 am and worked meticulously on both vehicles until 1 pm. I am extremely satisfied with the professional service and quality workmanship! The cars look absolutely spectacular and will definitely used them again! Their prices are good and worth every penny. I would definitely recommend this company to family and friends!! Thank you so much for working so h****** our cars!!

I wanted my wife's 2004 Volvo s40 detailed because it looked really dull and had many scratches on it. I found Lightning Detail on Angie's list and we made an appt. for a Saturday morning. Paul showed up on time, and fully loaded with all the supplies needed. Paul and his partner worked hard and against the hot day to detail the cars' leather interior, polish the console, vacuum and shampoo the mats from black to factory color beige.They did a beautiful job with the exterior too. They were challenged w/ detailing a car that is black w/electric blue specs on a hot Saturday morning and they certainly exceeded me and my wifes' expectations. They buffed out all of the scratches and restored the sporty paint job on my wife's car which left my wife wanting rims to complete the look!!!Thank u Lightning Detail for restoring my wife's car back to mint condition! I certainly recommend Paul as he is a professional, affordable, and certainly exceeded my expectations!

I'm more than pleased with the work he did. Paul was able to restore the interior and exterior of my wife's car to like-new. The price was on the high end but was well worth it. I plan to have Paul work on both of our cars at leas once a year to keep the paint in good shape.

I decided to select Lighting Auto, Boat, & RV detail after reading the positive reviews on Angie's List and also checking out their website. Paul and Lee did an AMAZING JOB! My car looks better than the day I bought it! I have never detailed my car but after 10 years, it was starting to look old even after I washed it. Also, I have also never waxed my car so the paint was definitely in need of help. They truly gave my car a makeover, the exterior and interior were sparkling after they were done detailing my car. I am extremely happy with their services and would use them again without hesitation.

Lightning A I got their listing from Angie's list. I called and they gave me an appointment for a week later. I told them that the car was pretty dirty and they explained that they would arrive at 8 and probably take them till noon. They arrived at 7:50 and went right to work. Two guys and they were very nice. They helped me unload the back and hooked up their gear. (hose and plugged in the electrical). I went to the gym and returned at 11. I was surprised they were still here. They waxed and buffed and made my car shine. They wrapped up and were ready to leave at 11:45. They took my check and were gone. They were very personable and I will welcome them back.

The city in which I live doesn't allow car washing unless water is reclaimed, so I needed to travel to Paul (the owner). I arrived ~10 minutes early, and he was ready to go. I walked to a nearby coffee shop to do some work, and about three hours later I came back and picked up my car. Given the other gushing reviews on Angie's List, I was expecting top-notch work and welcoming service, and that's just what I got. I had solicited estimates from a couple other detailers, and Paul was both the most praised and the most expensive, but I'd never had a detailing performed before and didn't want to cut any corners. His final charge before tip (which is what I've listed above) was commendably less than his original quote, but I bumped it back up with a well-earned tip. This was my first detail so I have no other experiences to compare it to, but I'm fully satisfied and can't think of any aspect of it that didn't live up to expectation. Paul was friendly, prompt, and clear in communicating beforehand. The car looks as fantastic as I had hoped. If and when I need detailing performed again, Paul will be my first choice. I can highly recommend this business without any reservations.

In the interest of brevity, ( you can find my completed report dated 12/31/09). I called Paul (owner) and set up an appointment. He was responsive, personable, professional and in conjunction with all of this, he did an outstanding job restoring my lack-lustre car back to life. He is friendly and will work and carry on a friendly-professional conversation at the same time. He is highly skilled and I mentioned in my previous report that I was going to have him back to do my wife's Toyota Prius, but that hasn't happened yet-my fault not his! ps: i did sell the Celica and now have a Camry that I will likely have Paul detail for me... Paul came to the house and did a great job detailing my (dark green and quite dirty) Acura. He and his assistant spent several hours and made it shine like new and feel like silk. I highly recommend this company.

Paul arrived right on time with one assistant. My car was a 2003 low mileage Acura TL. The paint was in pretty good shape but it hadn't been waxed in years. There were the usual scratches that cars pick up over time. The back seat had seen some doggie wear and car sickness. It took about three hours for Paul to finish the job. I am being totally honest when I say the car looks better than it did new. The interior is spotless. The leather wrapped steering wheel is now minus eight years of grime. The exterior paint is now minus the tiny scratches and looks fantastic. No trace of waxy residue in hard to get at spaces. A great job and worth every penny.

From my initial conversation to the completion of the auto detail, Paul has been a true professional. He did exactly what he said he would and it was a pleasure to work with him. In fact, Paul (and Lee) worked feverishly to clean up my 10-year black car and brought the paint shine back to near showroom condition. While I've used other detailers in the past, none took such care and pride in the quality of the work. I think the value of the vehicle has shot up too! I tip my hat to Paul for treating his customers fairly, honestly and with integrity. With two other cars in my household, I look forward to working with Lightning Detail in the future and would highly recommend their services to others.
