Customers say: Quick response

"Reese was reliable, he was there when he said he would be. He quickly made changes as needed. He suggested solutions to unanticipated problems. He not only acted professionally, he looked professional. I will never call anyone else and I have two more phases of my remodel to go."

"Ezra from Landmark construction, was the leader and supervisor at my house for the kitchen remodeling project. Ezra proved to us that he have a great knowledge and he can bring any kitchen idea to reality. His work included The design and the implementation of the new kitchen and he also knew how to guide the workers in order to achieve the best results. Each of our question was referred in a professional way and Ezra always answered to our calls OR was able to return to us soon. The kitchen remodeling included appliances, new floor, paint, cabinets and counter top on top of new sink, hardware etc...
The work was completed within a month and the results came out above our vision. We appreciate the work he did and we will hire this company in the future!

Remodel Design questions, answered by experts

Most Greek Revival architecture homes are one and a half to two stories, depending on the footprint, which sets them apart from some Federal architecture homes that are three stories. The gabled roof on the second floor can sometimes cut into the living space, especially on smaller homes of this style, which leaves a much smaller living area upstairs.

Universal design costs can be minimal when you add them during construction; however, adding universal design principles to existing homes can sometimes increase renovation costs. For example, a mid-grade bathroom remodel is estimated to cost around $30,000, while a standard universal design remodel can cost closer to $40,000. Adding accessible design components can include widening hallways ($500 to $2,000), curbless showers ($2,000 to $8,000), and widening doors ($400 to $800). Keep in mind that these increased costs can lead to higher resale values because universal homes may appeal to a wider variety of buyers.

Yes, you can finance cottage construction through several options. Construction loans provide funds in stages as work progresses, while home equity loans or lines of credit are available if you have existing property. Some lenders offer a combined construction and permanent mortgage. Always review loan terms and payment milestones before committing.

Balancing aesthetics with functionality amidst space planning is important. To do so, you could consider consulting both an interior designer and an architect to fulfill both these needs. Or you can tackle it on your own by prioritizing personal touches amidst space planning that add to the look but don't take away from the livability of the space.

An architect is usually involved in the process of determining the layout and structural features and requirements of the home itself, taking into account the local codes, climate, and materials needed to make the home structurally sound. Architects may communicate more with contractors and subcontractors throughout the building process. In comparison to architects, interior designers typically focus on the aesthetics of a home interior and possibly exterior, helping the homeowner decide on color schemes, textures, and materials to incorporate into the design.
