When I first contacted him, Robert Keeler's general contractors license was not current. He paid the fees and was up to date. <br /> It is absolutely totally negative. there is nothing good i can say about this man. He has been working on my property for about 3 weeks and has gotten worse and worse. I had to tell him to take his tool and get off my property. He gave me a bid on the job that it would be less than two weeks. It has been three weeks, maybe even four. Now he wants to charge me extra labor costs ($1800). He hardly did any labor on his own. He had trouble finding two people to work for him. He had two people that came in for two hours and they left. They did not come back to work for him at all. He brings his dog to work he puts the dog in my back yard and it chews up my fence. I told him, I do not want your dog on my property and he brought the dog back anyway. <br /> I have to lock my doors because he comes in my house and makes himself at home! He has sat in my lounge chair, drank coffee and watched football.

Absolute nonsense! Yes the job did take an extra week due to me loosing my crew but in the contract it states that start up consists of the first 8 hour work day. we were delayed a week in starting therefore I did substantially complete the work according to the contract. [Member Name Removed] invited me into his house and offered me coffee on several occasions. I never watched any football. His real reason for telling me to get off the job was, I believe, so he could avoid completing our contract that he owed substantial balance on. and also to avoid paying for about $2000 in extras that he had authorized. He then hired my crew to complete the remaining 5% of the job.

The worst part is that he left an extremely negative report on Angie's list. That is Killing my referrals. What I need is for some of my previous clients to log on to Angie's and revise their reports to include another category that I do. This will bump his negative report off my first page of reports. My experience with Construction Services/ I'm your handyman went well. I had them dig up four or five palm tree roots. I'm very pleased with the price and their work. Their main job was fencing but I asked them to dig up palm tree roots and they jump right on it and took care of it. They were on time and prompt. The main man came out with his workers. I told them what I wanted them to do. He got with his workers and figured out how long it was going to take them. He set the price and I thought it was fair enough. After they almost did the fence I asked them about the tree roots, they called their boss, they said yes to do it and I did not pay extra for it. They're good people to use for that. They do a number of different types of services and I'll probably use them for other projects that I don't have time to do myself. I'll probably call them back and use them again.

It was excellent, he was right on time, he did exactly what he said he was going to do, it cost exactly what he said, he picked up the door and put the door out, there was a problem with the screen door from the manufacturing and he took care of all of that, it was excellent and we would definitely call him again. The price is good 'cause we had compared my husband and I on our own prices and then when I told them what we were looking at, he bid a better price on the same thing.

It took 3 weeks from the time I first contacted him to schedule an appointment to do the work. After waiting 3weeks, the first appointment scheduled was cancelled. <br /> During the initial phone conversation he was told I needed drywall work done in the kitchen, laudry room and bedroom. This is a rental property, so I do not live there. I described the scope of the work. We discussed drywall compound needs to set for 24 hours, so a second appointment would be needed.He said I would pay a gas fee which was ok with me. He told me his hourly fee is $45 per hour if the job required more than 6.5 hours. <br /> I purchased what I thought was a coupon special for $319 for 6.5 hours of handyman work, but it would have been cheaper to hire him at $45 per hours. The special deal I thought I was getting turned out not to be a deal at all. <br /> He did complete 6.5 hours of drywall work on the day of his appointment, but the job was not finished. He started the work in the laundry room, but it was not finished. He was not able to get to other areas we discussed. Another appoinment was needed just to complete the work he started in the laundry room. Instead of coming back to complete what he started, he told me to hire a local person to complete the job. I would have never hired him had I known I would have to hire another person to finish the job he started. <br /> He said he should take Bakersfield off his service area because of its distance from Tehachapi; however he should have told me this before he started the job, not after. <br /> The quality of the work he did was good, but not to finish a job you start is unprofessional. I would never recommend or hire him again for any work. <br />

This is simply Not what occured. I came to the jobsite and worked 7 (not 6.5) hours. there were other issues not mentioned in her communication. (plumbing) that had to be addressed before the drywall could be compleated. The storefront offer was 6.5 hours for $319. I never promised her I would compleate any spefic amount of work. I did my best and accomplished a reasonable amount of work. I never asked, nor was I given any money for Gas costs. the amount of work neccessary in the very run down rental was simply way beyond the time alotted.

All in all it went well. The day we had scheduled Mr. Keller was having transmission problems with his truck and called to ask to reschedule but when I said I could not reschedule he came anyway but a bit late, which is why he gets a "B" rather than an "A" for Punctuality. He is an experienced professional and with the exception of not having brought a set of chisels (which is why he gets a "B" rather than an "A" for Professionalism), he brought everything else he needed for the job. All else went without a hiccup. We'll call him first whenever we need someone with his skills. <br />

Power went out one night at my rental home in Tehachapi and it could not be restored from the electrical box. I found Robert on Angie's List, sent him an email at around 6:30pm Tue 2/21, and within 30 minutes recieved a call from him! As it was late we agreed for him to come by the house the next morning. He arrived early, thoroughly checked the electrical box and found that the main breaker had gone bad. He picked up a new breaker at a local store, installed it and power was back! Robert was personable, responsive, prompt, did a thorough job and the price was right. In a town where it's so hard to find trustworthy service people you can trust Robert to take care of you.
