"The owner Jesse Lyon was responsive, professional, and very easy to communicate with. He performed the work of lowering my pump in the well as water table had dropped. The entire time he kept me informed of options going forward. Anyone who has had well pump issues know it is stressful. Call Jesse and he will treat you right."

"Once again Earl's performance plumbing knocked it out of the park. This company is GREAT ! I called at 10 am, scheduled an appointment the same day for between 12 & 2 pm, Jose arrived at 1:30 and was finished , paid , and gone 30 minutes later. These guys go above and beyond my expectations for a fair price too. I'll say it again, I wouldn't think of hiring any other company. Thanks again team Earl.??"

"When your well stops working everything comes to a sudden halt. Then the difficult task of contacting and arranging for a well and pump service tech to make a service call. Our disaster began with our old 600 gallon pressure tank falling over and rupturing a massive hole in the side of the tank. I had planned on replacement of all well and pump components the same week this happened. Notified ADAM of Keller Drilling and Pump. ADAM responded very fast and was able to make a service call in less than an hour! When he arrived to witness our disaster area I advised him that I had all of the necessary components to replace and upgrade all of them then. He had no reservations about working with my equipment. The job was labor intensive and the extra modifications and upgrades made it more complicated .Adam was very professional and adapted to my requests and needs. Though the job was lengthy and detailed Adam performed all tasks in a professional manner and his advice and knowledge was extremely helpful and appreciated. I highly recommend KELLER Drilling and Pump services and wish to endorse our gratitude for a job well done!"

"Went well to this point of replacing parts. Then the United needed to have a system leak test and then needed freon put in pump. This was refused by Choice warranty. We were left with a partial repair and a heat pump not able to do it's job."

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

The disadvantages of having a well include more maintenance, like annual testing and inspections, and high up-front costs to drill a well. Well water is also vulnerable to contamination, which is why keeping up with testing is important if you own a well. When it comes to well water versus city water, well water does offer more independence and is a reliable water source.

A shallow-well pump can pull water up to 25 feet deep. A deep-well pump can pull water up to 90 feet deep. A deep-well submersible pump can pull water up to 300 feet deep. Make sure to consult a pro to find out how deep your well is and get the right pump for your needs.

Normally, when your well pump turns on or off, you’ll hear a small click. This isn’t anything to worry about, but it can be a problem if it’s clicking continuously. This can indicate that the well pump is short cycling—the pump continuously turns on and off.

This can wear out the motor and provide uneven water flow. If this happens, you may need to get it looked at by a well pump professional to see if you need to repair the switch or pump.

There are other ways to increase well water pressure. You can often increase the pressure by adjusting the valve on your pressure tank. The pressure issue may be the result of build-up along the pipes or a clog in the system, so descaling and unclogging your system can help improve the overall pressure.

Age is certainly a factor in well pump failure. The older your pump, the more likely it is to fail.

Beyond age, other factors can cause your well pump to fail, too. Things like poor water quality can cause sediment buildup in your pump. Without proper cleaning, your pump can seize up and fail. Having a dry well for too long can also cause your pump to fail, as it keeps working even though there's no water for it to pull.
