After using Yelp to find the first plumbing service, and used a Diamond Certified Plumber for the second time the problem occurred, I turned to Angie's List for the first time. The initial call to $15 Sewer and Drain was answered promptly, and they scheduled a plumber out to the house on the same day. This was imperative, as we could not use the showers, bath tub, or kitchen sink...and it was in the middle of a heat wave. Jason of $15 arrived, and we discussed two options. The ultimate fix was to install a clean-out that would accommodate a camera if necessary, and a snake with blades that would completely tackle any back-up or blockage. (As opposed to smaller tools that would just and quot;poke a holeand quot; in the blockage, which is what I paid the Diamond Certified plumbers to do for $1200. After writing the $1200 check, they suggested a $1500 future fix, a proper sized clean-out.) When Jason recommended the install of a proper sized 4and quot; sewer main and quot;clean-outand quot; for $850, which would include video if necessary, and a 90 day, no charge service call if there were future issues with the drains backing up...I knew this was going to be the best service I have ever received from a plumber, or it would be tragic. It was certainly the former, and Jason worked tirelessly, and the work ran after 5pm with no extra charge, to finish the work in 100 degree heat. He left the area clean, and we have had no issues whatsoever with the plumbing backing up. Jason took the time to explain the benefits before beginning any work, and made sure all was working well before he left that evening. If there were a grade above an and quot;Aand quot;, Jason and $15 would deserve it; for their professionalism, polite demeanor, and a great job all around. They could have told me anything, and when one has no running water, we are at the mercy of the plumber. This company did not take advantage, and instead renewed my faith in reviews...BUT ONLY Angies list for reviews from now on!
