I have 20 years experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles, building fences or sheds or gates, all different kinds of odds and ends jobs at a home. Ive repaired ac units, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, you name it ive fixed it. I can paint very well and install vinyl plank flooring. I can promise that every job I do I treat like a job for my own home. Ill never accept a job Im not experienced or able to finish timely and proudly. I have completely tore down and replanted the front yard like a pro. Ill dig or move dirt. Ive fixed the main sewer line in a home out to the street. Repaired roofing shingles and small sections of roof plywood. I can build things from wood. I also enjoy mowing lawns and completing all the small things at a home that has added up and needs to be done small things. Ive repaired the breaker box in a home before. Lawns questions, answered by experts

The legality of blowing leaves into the street depends on your city or county laws. Many cities have codes that restrict blowing leaves into the street because it can obstruct the view of nearby drivers and make cars dirty, not to mention angering neighbors. Violations can result in a fine or other problems. You can check the codes on your municipal government website to learn more local guidelines, but avoid spraying leaves into streets for now.

Small amounts of geese are actually good for the environment. They help spread seeds and lead to more plant growth, but they’re often an invasive species, particularly Canadian geese. This means a small gaggle can quickly grow into a level that litters your lawn with bald patches and excrement.

It’s unlikely your leaves are a hazard, especially if you get to them while they’re dry. However, a couple of rare risks exist. University studies suggest that decaying leaves can produce organochlorines, toxic pollutants similar to man-made PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), so avoid keeping them in an enclosed area.

Also, leaves and compost may cause the growth of fungi that can cause diseases like histoplasmosis and aspergillosis, as well as mold spores that are unhealthy for human lungs. Again, severe issues are rare, but those with compromised immune systems or allergies to mold should wear face masks when directly handling leaves.

You have a few options to get rid of raked leaves, including bagging them and leaving them out for yard waste pickup. Even if you hire a professional for leaf removal, they can often bag the leaves and leave them for you to dispose of this way. You can also recycle and even donate yard waste. If you have a compost bin, your leaves will be ready to help your plants grow, reducing spring cleanup landscaping costs. Some companies will even accept donations of raked leaves to make compost, but you’ll need to transport them yourself.

Yes, many services offer environmentally friendly disposal options.
