"Would hire Robert Wright again, in fact I have some other jobs that I plan on having him do in the near future. I had Robert and his son install a storage shed for me that I had planned on doing myself, but I recently had surgery and couldn't do it until next spring. When I called Robert to schedule the job and explained to him that I needed it done in approximately a month he said he would do his best but he had some other jobs already scheduled and would try to work us in. He ended up coming out a few weeks later and completing the job in 1 day instead of 2 days and did a great job."

"In spite of a break because he tested positive for covid, the Handy Juan completed the rebuilding and installation of my kitchen cabinets in a reasonable period of time. He accomplished exactly what I desired to be repaired. He communicated pleasantly and effectively. He left the area clean and in good order. I would gladly have him back for future projects."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

A major mistake homeowners make during pool and spa service is ignoring hard water chemistry. The local water supply causes calcium scaling that ruins plaster and clogs heaters. Many part-time residents also skip maintenance during the off-season, leading to severe algae blooms and equipment damage. Furthermore, misjudging evaporation for an active leak is common, since pools in Palm Springs easily lose several inches of water every week to extreme heat.

Helpful?

Always account for strict water conservation regulations before draining your pool. Local agencies restrict refilling during drought declarations. You must also consider extreme heat effects, as ambient temperatures inside equipment enclosures easily exceed 130°F. Shading your equipment pad is a vital best practice. Finally, review your neighborhood HOA rules regarding noise and plan major pool and spa service for late summer when Palm Springs contractors have more open schedules.

Helpful?

Start your pool construction and installation by securing a geotechnical soils report to determine structural requirements. Check your neighborhood for historic district or homeowner association restrictions before breaking ground. Schedule the work between October and March to avoid extreme summer temperatures. Finally, have an electrician assess your panel capacity early to keep your Palm Springs project running on schedule.

Helpful?

Pool construction and installation will impact your existing utility systems. Check your electrical panel to see if it has enough capacity for new pumps and heaters. You also need to inspect your gas meter to ensure it can support a new pool heater. Assess your property grading to prevent drainage issues near your foundation, and review your CA water budget to accommodate any new irrigation lines.

Helpful?

The success of pool construction and installation depends heavily on selecting materials suited for hard water. Choose aggregate or pebble finishes to resist calcium scaling. You must also shade your pool equipment to protect motors from intense Palm Springs heat. Hire a professional to evaluate your soil conditions and ensure the concrete shell meets local seismic standards to prevent cracking over time.
