"Worst customer service I have seen from a company. Good service at seeing you up but even getting someone out for our first service took a month and countless calls. Just had our follow up service took several weeks and calls to the call center to schedule with no response. Only got someone out by texting the rep that came out last service. Then on the follow up spray the only sprayed 1/4 of the committed area and haven’t been able to get someone to come back out. The call center appears to not communicate to the service department and only takes the call to move on to the next call. They commit to schedules to get up of the phone resulting in another call days later after a no show."

You should add 1 to 4 inches of mulch, depending on your garden type and needs. Keep in mind that no amount of mulch can completely prevent weeds, but a heavier coverage (closer to 4 inches) can suppress weeds enough that you are only seeing them sprout every few weeks. Mulch costs an average of $15 to $80 per yard, depending on the type you choose and whether you have it delivered and installed by a pro. Generally, it’s cheaper to buy mulch in bulk and have it delivered to your home. However, bags are the more cost-effective choice if you only have a small area to mulch.

How tall your mulch should be around your tree depends on the type of mulch you use, but aim for 3 to 4 inches as a rule of thumb. You’ll want to avoid simply piling it up in hopes of offering additional benefits to your tree. Volcano mulching is the infamous term for piling way too much mulch against the stem of your tree. This could actually kill your tree or severely harm it, as your tree trunk needs space to breathe without too much moisture.

Small gravel is the better option since it creates a stable, even surface that’s easier on paws and hooves. Large gravel can be uncomfortable and may shift too much underfoot. So if you’re using gravel in pet or livestock areas, go for smooth, rounded small gravel to prevent injuries and discomfort.

The best size rock for your landscaping depends on the design, as different boulders serve different purposes. If you want to group boulders to create a natural-looking cluster, you’ll need a range of sizes. Otherwise, here are some suggestions:

  • Small boulders (smaller than 12 inches across): Best for landscape edging and fire pits 

  • Medium boulders (12–24 inches): Best for retaining walls and water features

  • Large boulders (more than 24 inches): Best as standalone landscaping features, steps, or walkways.
