My ancient heating/airconditioning unit died in December. Jeff's was one of three furnace and air conditioning installation companies I called. He was prompt and thoroughly explained what needed to be done. His price was slightly higher than the others, but his experience and knowledge were apparent. Over the next few weeks, I questioned him in detail, because I also liked the other two companies who had given me estimates. In the end, I felt confident with Jeff and asked him to do the job. The old duct work had been wrapped in asbestos. Jeff's asbestos removal contractors were exceptionally professional from the secretary who called to set up the appointment to the men who came to the house to do the work. Each of them was polite and efficient. Jeff arranged for a crane to take the old unit off of my high pitched roof and put the new unit on top of a platform they had built to minimize noise. The connection to the house was bad and the new one was wrapped in canvas to be quieter and more efficient. They installed new ducts and vents throughout the house and enlarged the return. They also installed a new programmable thermostat that keeps the heat even throughout the house. The workers cleaned up everything and were done in two days. Now, I am thrilled. The heat is even and while I had to turn the thermostat up to 78 to be warm with the old unit, I'm now quite comfortable with it set on 71. I've had much smaller jobs done with far more stress. This installation could not have gone easier.

Ducting on our ancient furnace was long overdue for replacement. We were not ready to replace the furnace, but are preparing for that day. Jeff conducted an under-house inspection, came back with photo's showing us the leaking duct work. Then, he worked up a quote for duct replacement. We discussed furnace/HVAC/air purifier replacement options and he gave us a quote on those as well. The sale was very professional, not high pressure. Jeff respected our need to take some time and sort through the options. When we decided to move forward with the duct replacement, Jeff offered to replace our 6 inch ducting with larger 8 inch ducting without charge to support future possible AC install. Installation and removal was done very professionally.The crew wore booties in the house, left the grounds very clean, and did an excellent job installing ducts and registers. Finally, they patiently accomodated 2 adjustments of duct dampers to adjust the air flow to various rooms to our comfort level. They promised further adjustments as needed. All in all I am extremely pleased with the services provided and the level of professionality of Jeff and his entire crew. I would highly recommend them.

When we called JW Heating and Air we were able to schedule an appointment within a couple of days. They sent a very nice technician. He covered his shoes with booties to protect our carpet. He was quiet and efficient. He explained the problem, along with his concers about the fix. He answered all of our questions.

The work was completed quickly and to our total pleasure.

The experience was great! Jeff came out for the estimate and took his time to measure the whole house: the other companies that we had come out did not take the time to accurately measure the house to determine the best size and best placement for the registers and returns. He was at the house for at least an hour: that is a good thing as it meant that he fully understood the house and what was needed. Then, he was very patient in explaining the different options and solutions available, including costs for each. In addition, they took the extra time to research all the rebates we would be able to claim. Once we decided to have the work completed with JW Heating, they moved quickly to get our house setup with the new equipment. The installation team was very courteous and checked in with us on their progress on a regular basis. Now, we have a house that heats/cools rapidly and we are very happy!

The entire job went very smooth. Jeff was very honest and helpful in explaining my options. His company is very professional and courteous. Demolition and cleanup very meticulous. They were on time. I would recommend them to anyone in the need for their services.

The actual work went great. Start date stared on time, end date ended on time. The workers were cordial and knowledgable. No complaints.

These guys did an excellent job. Jeff came out and gave us an estimate. Because we were replacing the old wall heater in our 1400 sq ft. house with a central heating forced air furnace, he thoroughly explained the process, which was quite involved. He explained all of our furnace and a/c options, as well as how the ductwork would be installed to minimize noise. We got three estimates. He was a bit more expensive than our cheapest estimate, but he offered (by far) the best warranty and it was obvious that he was very concerned about quality, which was the most important thing to us. I could tell from the beginning that his is company is very buttoned up, which I appreciate after lots of bad contractor experiences in the past. Everyday, his crew showed up on-time, were easy to communicate with, very clean and overall made this a great experience. They did everything we asked of them, the city inspection went flawlessly and now we are enjoying a comfy home. Jeff stopped by throughout the job to make sure we were happy with the way things were going. I would highly recommend these guys.

The serviceman came out and checked the heater and noticed that the ducting in the attic had broken and all of the heat was going out into the attic. We had been told previously that the ducting needs to be redone as it is over 20 years old and in the attic it gets the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter. He was able to repair it in about 45 minutes and the heat is now working fine.

My experience was very positive with this company. Everyone on the phone that I spoke to when scheduling service was very friendly and helpful. Bryan arrived on time, was very polite and wore booties into the house so that he didn't leave any footprints, etc. The diagnosis was thorough and the work was quick and professional. I am so happy I used this company. We will definitely use them again if we ever have heating problems.

They did a great job for the exact price quoted and in the exact time-frame quoted. Everything looks and works great and the price was competitive. I would certainly use JW again.

I had this company out to look at my ducting system because the whole front of my house wasn't getting any air. I said it was like a line was disconnected or something. The service man went into my California basement and looked around, but never went under the part of the house that got no air. After looking at the system for a while, he said that the ducting was all wrong and the only way to fix the issue was to replace all of it and start over again. He quoted me "at least" $2,500 for the labor plus parts for 2 or 3 days worth of work (maybe more). He wouldn't provide anything more specific than that. I called another contractor after that. He immediately went under the front of the house and saw that the main duct line was disconnected. He repaired that and messed with all the baffles on the ducts. In an hour and at a cost of $200, my system is working like new. I'm giving "C" grades here instead of "F's" because my duct system is, in fact, poorly designed and starting over is probably a necessary long term solution. I don't think I was getting intentionally swindled. I just think the inspection was lazy, JW Heating & Air didn't bother going under the house to where I said it seemed there was a disconnect and they only suggested the most expensive option. I also hated the fact that the quote was so vague. If he has 20+ years of experience (or was it 30?), he should have a better ballpark figure for the replacement cost. My crawl space is highly accessible and the layout is easy to understand. A firm estimate would be warranted.

We thought we had a thermostat problem which we attempted to repair ourselves. That turned out not to be so simple. We called JW and they scheduled an appointment for the next day. With the proper equipment, Jeff was able to determine that we had a bad computer board, in the A/C. He ordered the replacement board and a new thermostat. The parts were available within a week and Jeff returned to replace the part. He showed me the old board with obvious burn out. He installed a new digital thermostat and provided instructions. It is very simple to program with multiple time periods and touch screen control.

The technician arrived early, was professional, and did a great job. I would use JW Heating and A/C again.

Jeff Williams did an excellent job of assessing our HVAC requirements and expediting installation. His crew members were courteous and punctual, cleaned up the area daily, and non-intrusive even though they had to walk through the house repeatedly. The new heating and air conditioning system works well.

We were impressed with JW Heating and Jeff, the owner, from the start. We had spoken to several heating companies about options to replace the ancient, direct vent, wall mounted heater in our old house. Jeff discussed the different systems with us and we were confident in the decision to install forced air. We were reluctant due to the amount of cutting of the plaster/lathe ceilings that would be involved, but we were confident in Jeff and his company to as good, or better, job as I would personally want to do. Our confidence was further gained with Jeff's description and pictures of the installation process and the high level of expertise of his crews. We planned to stay out of our house while the work was done, however the house was so clean after each workday, we could've easily stayed at home. This is remarkable given the nature of cutting through plaster/lathe. The crew was profession and meticulous in their work. In the end, the installation is incredible clean in the house and in the attic, and we have heat! We have no regrets and will gladly hire JW Heating again.

Previous owners of my house had installed a heating/ac unit on the cheap, jammed into a too-small closet in the laundry room (they even cut out part of the wall structure to fit it in) with inadequate air intake, and the run to the kitchen was just a hole, no actual ducting. Rats were constantly finding ways into the closet and chewing up the insulation and the closet stank something horrible. When the unit recently quit working, we got several estimates from different companies to basically replace with the same kind of setup. JW was the only company that came out and identified what was really going on with the system and the house, and he gave us various choices for how we could install a new system that would conform to code and work the way it should. We ended up with a ductless system that, while somewhat more expensive than we were hoping for, so far works great and frees up a significant amount of storage space in the house now that we don't have the furnace jammed in the closet. We also freed up more space by removing soffits that contained the old bad duct work in other closets. By closing up all the holes the rat problem is solved as well.We felt comfortable and confident with Jeff from the get go. His guys were polite and fast working, they kept the house clean where they were working, and they were very patient with our sometimes hyper 9 month old puppy. We were extremely pleased with our experience with this company.

Jeff Williams, the owner, was very helpful and informative during his sales call. His installers arrived on time and were efficient, poilte and clean. The installation of a few parts of the system needed slight adjustments, and JW was willing and prompt in taking care of these. I am most thankful that Jeff highly recommended a slightly larger A/C unit than other companies had proposed - the larger unit has proved to be more quiet and efficient.

We were very pleased with them. They did a great job. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them in the future.

My husband and I purchased a new home and needed to replace the outdated floor furnace. We decided on JW after receiving a couple of quotes for a complete central heating and air conditioning system. It was most impressive that the owner, Jeff Williams, came out himself for our initial meeting and quote...and was extremely responsive when we had questions leading up to our final decision. Not only did he work with us on finding a system that fit our needs and budget but was able to start the job early which was especially wonderful given our tight timing for remodeling and moving. Jeff's crew was fantastic and we are thoroughly enjoying our new air conditioning during the hot summer weather.
